CoPilot Interview Alternatives: When Another Tool Fits Better

We make CoPilot Interview, so here is when you should use something else: practice-only tools, live assistants that run in a browser or on a phone, and how much each free plan really gives you, checked on vendor sites in October 2026.

The best CoPilot Interview alternatives are Aced Practice for free mock interviews with a real person, Yoodli for delivery coaching, ChatGPT's free plan for studying and rehearsing answers, and, if you need a live assistant that runs in a browser or on a phone, Verve AI, Parakeet AI or Interview Sidekick. Disclosure: we make CoPilot Interview, so this page is written to tell you when something else is the better choice, using facts checked on each vendor's own site as of October 2026.

A note on the name: CoPilot Interview is made by NeuraSense AI LLC and is not affiliated with Microsoft, Microsoft Copilot or GitHub Copilot. If you were looking for an alternative to a Microsoft product, the tools below are interview tools, not office assistants.

What CoPilot Interview does, and where it falls short

It helps to know what you'd be replacing. CoPilot Interview is a desktop AI interview assistant for Windows 10+ and macOS 12+ with four modes: Mock Interview, which builds questions from your résumé and the job description, reads them aloud and scores each spoken answer out of 10 with what to fix and a model answer; Candidate Mode for live help; Interviewer Mode for hiring managers; and a Resume Builder. The free plan gives you 15 minutes every day, with sessions up to 15 minutes and all four modes, and needs no signup or credit card. A browser mock interview with 113 real questions across 9 tracks needs nothing installed.

Its limits are the honest reasons to look elsewhere:

Practice-only alternatives

If your goal is to get better at interviewing rather than to have help during the call, these are the strongest options.

Aced Practice (formerly Pramp)

Pramp's own site says that as of July 2024 all new Pramp sessions are hosted on Aced Practice, and that it's still free. It pairs you with a peer based on availability, experience, practice topics and target companies; you interview each other for 30 to 45 minutes over video in the browser, then trade feedback (see its site). Choose it over CoPilot Interview when you want the pressure of a real person across the table. Our CoPilot Interview vs Pramp page compares the two approaches.

Yoodli

Yoodli now describes itself as an AI platform for human skills, sold mainly to revenue, training and learning teams, with individual plans for interview prep and public speaking. Per its pricing page (October 2026), the free Starter plan includes up to 5 roleplays in total, Pro is $8 a month billed annually for up to 10 roleplays a week, and Advanced is $20 a month billed annually for unlimited roleplays. Choose it when how you deliver answers is your weak point; its plans include live AI roleplays and feedback on recordings you upload. See CoPilot Interview vs Yoodli.

ChatGPT

The ChatGPT plans page lists a Free plan with unlimited text chats and limited voice chats. It's a general assistant: it won't listen to a call or score you against a job description unless you set that up yourself, but it's a solid free way to study concepts and draft answers. See CoPilot Interview vs ChatGPT.

Live assistant alternatives

These tools listen to a call and suggest answers, like CoPilot Interview's Candidate Mode. Whatever you choose, follow the rules of the employer or assessment you're in — many people use it only to practice, which works on the free plan.

Verve AI

Verve AI runs in a browser (Chrome, Edge or Opera), as a Windows and macOS app, and in a mobile browser for phone interviews. Per its pricing page (October 2026), the free plan includes three 15-minute copilot sessions a month and five mock interviews; Standard is $44.99 a month for five one-hour sessions ($16.99 a month billed annually), and Pro is $84.99 a month for unlimited 90-minute sessions ($34.99 billed annually). Its post-interview report scores relevance, accuracy and clarity. Choose it if you can't install software or interview in a language other than English. Details: how Verve AI works.

Parakeet AI

Parakeet AI, at parakeet-ai.com, is a call assistant for interviews, sales calls and client meetings. It runs as a Windows and macOS app, in desktop Chrome (including on Linux) and in a phone browser. As of October 2026, sessions cost 0.5 credit per 30 minutes, a single credit is $38 (15 cost $177), and Unlimited is $149.90 a month; free use is 10 sessions of up to 10 minutes plus one mock interview. Refunds cover unused purchases within 7 days. Choose it for Linux, for work calls, or to pick Gemini, GPT or Claude per session. Details: how Parakeet AI works.

Interview Sidekick

Interview Sidekick runs as a desktop app, in Chrome, or beside a phone call on speaker, and adds a bank of 16,000+ questions with suggested answers. As of October 2026, the free plan is a 2-minute test session, and Ultimate is listed at $160 a month ($80 with a promo code on its site); its mock interviews, scored out of 100, are on paid plans. Choose it for the question bank or phone-screen setup. Details: how Interview Sidekick works.

Sensei AI

Sensei AI is a web app (latest Chrome recommended) that writes answers from your résumé and personal stories. As of October 2026, free sessions last 15 minutes and can be restarted, Pro is $89 a month or $24 a month billed annually, and it doesn't offer refunds. Choose it if your rounds are mostly behavioral and you can't install anything. Details: how Sensei AI works.

Final Round AI

Final Round AI is a desktop suite for macOS 14.4+ and Windows. As of October 2026, its free plan covers goals, résumé materials and job-description prep, and live sessions need a paid plan with no free trial: $150 billed monthly, $83.33 a month billed quarterly or $25 a month billed annually. Debriefs are written automatically after each session. Choose it if you want one paid suite with practice and debriefs. See CoPilot Interview vs Final Round AI and our Final Round AI pricing guide.

When CoPilot Interview is still the better choice

Pick CoPilot Interview over the alternatives above when these matter to you:

It's not the better choice if you need Linux, an iPhone app, a browser-only live assistant, or a human practice partner. Our comparison of 15 AI interview assistants covers more tools in detail.

How to choose in 10 minutes

  1. Decide what you need: practice before the interview, help during it, or both.
  2. Check your device. Linux, a phone-only setup or a locked-down work laptop rules some tools out straight away.
  3. Run the same three questions on two free plans. One behavioral, one technical, one "tell me about yourself". Judge the feedback, not the marketing.
  4. Read the refund terms before paying. They range from 14 days to none.
  5. Price your search, not the month. Multiply the plan by the weeks you expect to interview, and prefer hour packs or monthly billing if your search may end soon.

Try the free option first

Run a free AI mock interview in your browser: 113 real questions across 9 tracks, nothing to install. If it fits, the desktop app's free plan adds 15 minutes every day, with each spoken answer scored out of 10.

FAQ

What is the best free alternative to CoPilot Interview?

It depends on what you want for free. Aced Practice (formerly Pramp) is free for mock interviews with a real person. Among AI live assistants, as of October 2026 Sensei AI offers 15-minute free sessions you can restart, Verve AI gives three 15-minute sessions a month and Parakeet AI gives ten 10-minute sessions once. For AI-scored mock interviews every day, CoPilot Interview's free plan (which we make) gives 15 minutes daily.

Is CoPilot Interview the same as Microsoft Copilot?

No. CoPilot Interview is a desktop AI interview assistant made by NeuraSense AI LLC. It is not affiliated with Microsoft, Microsoft Copilot or GitHub Copilot.

Which CoPilot Interview alternative works on a phone?

As of October 2026, Verve AI's mobile browser version covers phone interviews, Parakeet AI has a mobile web app for iOS and Android, and Interview Sidekick runs in a phone browser for phone screens. CoPilot Interview has an Android companion in beta, outside Google Play, and an iPhone version is coming soon.

Which alternative works on Linux?

Parakeet AI says desktop Chrome is the way to use it on Linux. Browser-based practice such as Aced Practice also runs in a web browser. CoPilot Interview's desktop app runs on Windows 10+ and macOS 12+, and its browser mock interview needs no install.

Which alternatives offer refunds?

Terms differ a lot. As of October 2026, Parakeet AI refunds unused purchases within 7 days, Verve AI refunds only for a verifiable technical issue or no use, and Sensei AI offers no refunds. CoPilot Interview has a 14-day money-back guarantee on the first payment of a new subscription if under 30 minutes of live session time was used.

Should I use a practice tool or a live assistant?

Start with practice. Mock interviews with scored feedback build the skill that carries into the real round. If you also consider live help, follow the rules of the employer or assessment you're in; many people use these tools only to practice.
