Generic question banks test generic skills. Mock Interview mode (desktop app 1.3.11+, Windows and macOS, free tier included) reads your résumé and the job description first, then interviews you the way that company would.
1. Paste the job description and your résumé
Pick the level (junior to staff), how many questions (3, 5 or 8), the mix — behavioral, technical, system design, coding — your coding language, and an optional focus such as “Kubernetes” or “leadership”. The AI plans a question set that names your actual projects and the stack in the posting.
2. Answer out loud, like on a real call
Each question is read aloud, then the mic opens. Speak your answer; stop talking for a few seconds and it submits itself (or click Done). Coding questions come with a function signature, examples and constraints, plus a code box — type a solution or just talk through the approach.
3. Get graded, then debriefed
Every answer gets a score out of 10, what worked, what to improve, the rubric points you missed, a model answer (working code for coding questions) and the follow-up a real interviewer would ask. After the last question you get a report card with your average, the top three things to work on, and what to repeat next round — and a new round never repeats a question.
