Overview
CoPilot Interview is a product of NeuraSense AI LLC (“we,” “us”), which provides desktop interview-preparation software and related services. This Policy describes how we handle information when you use our website, app, authentication, and checkout flows.
Information we collect
- Account data. If you sign up, we process email, name (if provided), and authentication identifiers through our auth provider (e.g. Supabase). Passwords are handled using industry-standard practices by that provider.
- Purchase data. Payments are processed by our payment partner (e.g. Stripe). We receive limited transaction metadata needed to fulfill your license (such as plan, customer email, and payment status)—not your full card number.
- Website & product analytics. We may use analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics / Ads tags) subject to their configuration, to understand traffic and conversions. When you click to download the desktop app, we record the page and source that brought you to our site (for example a search engine, ad, or link) with a one-way hash of your IP address, deleted after 14 days, so the app’s first sign-in from the same network can be linked to that visit and its source kept with your app install or license; we don’t do this for visitors in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland unless they consent, and the app and checkout page may also ask, optionally, how you heard about us.
- Support. If you email us, we retain correspondence as needed to assist you.
How the app handles your interview content
To give you live transcripts, answers, and feedback, the Software sends the content each request needs (for example, a short audio segment, a screenshot you choose to take, or the text of a question) over an encrypted connection to our API proxy, which passes it on to the AI provider(s) listed below and returns the result to you. We do not store your interview audio, transcripts, screenshots, or answers on our servers — audio is processed in short segments and discarded after transcription. If that architecture changes in a future version, we will update this Policy.
To run, secure, and bill the service, our servers do keep limited records that never include the content of your interview:
- Diagnostic metadata. For requests that pass through our API: the request type (such as transcription or answer), which AI provider handled it, whether it succeeded or failed (with an error code or message), timing, language setting, app version, and operating system. The app may also report errors such as a microphone that failed to start.
- License usage. Usage counts and minutes per license key or app install, so plans and hour packs can be metered.
- IP addresses. For paid licenses, the IP addresses a license key connects from, kept to help prevent license sharing and abuse. IP addresses are also used briefly for rate limiting.
Browser extension (Chrome)
The CoPilot Interview browser extension captures the audio of the browser tab you choose (your interview) and, when you click Screenshot, an image of that tab. That audio/image is sent over an encrypted connection to our processing API and on to the AI providers listed below, solely to produce a live transcript and AI answers for you in real time. We do not store your interview audio, screenshots, or transcripts on our servers — audio is processed in short segments and discarded after transcription. As with the desktop app, our API keeps only the limited diagnostic, usage, and IP records described above. The extension requests only the browser permissions needed for this (tab audio capture, the active tab, and the on-page overlay).
AI providers (subprocessors)
To transcribe audio and generate answers, the Software sends the necessary content to the AI provider(s) enabled for your plan, which currently may include Inception (Mercury, our default language model), Cerebras (language models), Groq (speech-to-text and language models), OpenAI, Anthropic, Google (Gemini), xAI, and ElevenLabs (text-to-speech). Each processes the content to return results and is subject to its own terms and privacy policy. Payments are handled by Stripe and accounts/auth by Supabase.
Anonymous interview insights
When you generate an interview report in the desktop app, the app may send us a small set of anonymous statistics about that session:
- question titles, with each question’s category and difficulty, and the number of questions
- the interview type and session mode (for example, live interview, interviewer, or mock), and the role, company, and seniority — only if you entered them
- report scores, improvement areas, suggested next-round questions, and (in interviewer mode) the hire recommendation
- interview language and duration
- app version and operating system
- approximate country, derived from your IP address at the time of the request — the IP address itself is not stored
These insights never include your answers, transcripts, audio, screenshots, résumé, name, email address, or license key. Before anything is stored, our server also removes email addresses, phone numbers, links, and long numbers from every text field. Insight records are not linked to your account.
Why we use them. To improve the product, our interview-prep content, and our marketing — for example, understanding which interview questions and roles our users prepare for.
Your choice. Anonymous insights are on by default, except for users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, where they are off by default. You can turn them off (or on) at any time with the toggle under the interview report or in Settings.
Retention. Raw insight records are deleted after 24 months. Aggregated insights derived from them (for example, which questions are asked most often for a given role) may be kept longer.
Your responsibility — recording & consent
You are responsible for using the Software lawfully. Recording or transcribing a conversation may require the consent of other participants depending on your jurisdiction — some regions require all-party consent. By capturing audio that includes other people (such as an interviewer), you confirm you have any consent required by applicable law. The Software is provided for legitimate interview preparation and practice.
How we use information
- To provide, secure, and improve the Software and website
- To improve our interview-prep content and marketing using anonymous interview insights
- To process purchases and deliver license keys
- To respond to support requests and legal obligations
Sharing
We share data with subprocessors as needed to run the product: authentication, hosting, payments, email, and AI APIs—only in line with providing the service. We do not sell your personal information.
Retention
We retain account and transaction records as required for billing, tax, fraud prevention, and legal compliance. Support emails are kept for a reasonable period. Analytics data is governed by the retention settings of those tools. Raw anonymous interview insights are deleted after 24 months.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
Your choices
- Access or update account details through the in-product account flows where available.
