Why first-month only? Most SaaS programs offer recurring commission.
We are a small bootstrapped team and our gross margin per paid sub is roughly $7-15/month after AI API costs, payment processing, and infrastructure. We can't sustainably give 30% of every renewal. As the company grows, we plan to introduce a tiered recurring structure for top-performing partners.
How is attribution tracked? Is it cookie-based or account-based?
Both. We set a first-party cookie when a visitor arrives with ?ref=YOURCODE in the URL. The cookie lasts 30 days. We also tag any new account created in that window with your referral code, so attribution survives even if the user clears cookies between the initial click and the purchase.
Can I negotiate a higher commission rate for a large channel?
Yes. For channels with 100k+ subscribers in our target demographic, we negotiate custom terms (higher commission, exclusive discount codes for your audience, sponsored deeper integrations like a dedicated video review). Email us with your audience details.
What if my audience is non-English?
Great — we have translated landing pages at /es (Spanish), /hi (Hindi), and /zh (Chinese). Your referral code works across all of them. We are actively expanding the localization.
I write a review on YouTube/Medium and want to be paid for the post itself, not commission.
We have a separate sponsored content arrangement for that. Email us with your typical sponsored rates and audience details and we'll evaluate. We don't do exclusive deals.
Tax forms?
US-based affiliates earning $600+ in a calendar year receive a 1099. International affiliates self-report per their local tax authority. We collect W-9 (US) or W-8BEN (non-US) before the first payout above $50.
