The best InterviewMan alternative for job seekers who want to improve their answers, not only get suggestions, is CoPilot Interview: it gives you 15 free minutes every day with no card and no signup, a Mock Interview that scores each spoken answer out of 10 with what to fix and a model answer, and paid plans from $14.99 a month with a 14-day money-back guarantee on a new subscription. InterviewMan charges $30 a month or $144 a year as of October 2026 for unlimited minutes, doesn't publish how long its free trial lasts, and generally doesn't refund unused months of an annual plan.
We make CoPilot Interview, so read this critically. Every InterviewMan fact below comes from interviewman.com, checked in October 2026. For our earlier take on the product itself, see the InterviewMan review; this page is about what to use instead.
What InterviewMan is
InterviewMan describes itself as an AI-powered interview assistant, aimed mainly at technical interviews. Paraphrasing its own pages, it:
- transcribes the call, separates the interviewer's voice from yours and detects when a question is asked;
- suggests answers in real time and adapts when a follow-up changes the question;
- covers technical, coding, system design and behavioral questions, with separate interview and answer language settings across 40+ languages;
- lets you export your interview history, and offers a free résumé checker called Resume Radar.
It runs on macOS, Windows, iOS, Android and the web, per its download page. Much of its marketing is about a mode designed to stay out of view of other call participants; we don't repeat or test those claims.
Its "AI mock interview" is a practice mode of the same tool: you run questions with a friend, a mentor or on your own, and the AI generates answers for you to study. Its page doesn't describe scoring your own spoken answers.
InterviewMan pricing and cancellation terms (October 2026)
From the InterviewMan pricing page, checked October 2026:
| Plan | Price | What's included |
|---|---|---|
| Free trial | $0, no credit card | Free access to try it; the number of free minutes isn't published |
| Monthly | $30/month | Unlimited minutes, unlimited session length, all interview types, history export, priority support |
| Yearly | $12/month, billed $144/year | Same as monthly |
| Student (yearly) | $129.60/year | 10% off the yearly plan; you email them and get a promo code within one business day |
Its cancellation policy (last updated January 2, 2026) says you can cancel any time from account settings, by email or through the App Store or Google Play, and keep access until the end of the billing period. For annual plans, partial refunds for unused months are "generally not provided," though it says exceptions may be made. We found no money-back guarantee on the site.
Why people look for an InterviewMan alternative
Only reasons you can check on InterviewMan's own pages. We don't repeat user complaints.
- The free trial's size isn't published. You can start without a card, but the site doesn't say how many free minutes you get, so you can't plan a full practice round around it.
- The cheap rate needs a year up front. $12 a month only applies when you pay $144 for the year, and unused months generally aren't refunded. If your search ends in six weeks, the monthly plan at $30 is the safer buy.
- Practice means studying AI answers. Its practice mode generates answers for you to learn from. If you want your own spoken answers scored, with what to fix, you need a tool built for that.
- No pay-as-you-go option. It sells subscriptions only. If you have one or two interviews, a one-time pack can cost less.
- Thin company details. The site footer names only "InterviewMan," and its terms of service (governed by Delaware law) name no other legal entity and give no street address.

What a short job search costs on each
Most searches don't last a year. Here's what two months of interviewing costs, using published prices as of October 2026:
| Option | Two months | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| CoPilot Interview Free | $0 | 15 minutes every day, all four modes |
| CoPilot Interview 15-hour pack | $34.99 | One-time; the hours never expire |
| CoPilot Interview Standard, monthly | $29.98 | 60-minute sessions, up to 100 minutes a day |
| CoPilot Interview Pro, monthly | $59.98 | Unlimited 70-minute sessions |
| InterviewMan monthly | $60 | Unlimited minutes and session length |
| InterviewMan yearly | $144 | Paid up front; unused months generally not refunded |
If unlimited session length is the one thing you need, InterviewMan's monthly plan and our Pro plan cost about the same. If you mostly need practice plus help in a few rounds, the free plan or an hour pack costs less. More on this in how much an AI interview assistant costs.

- Cancel renewal first if you're on a paid plan: account settings, email, or the App Store or Google Play if you subscribed there. You keep access until the period ends.
- Install CoPilot Interview for Windows 10+ or macOS 12+: download, unzip and run. No signup is needed to start.
- Run a scored Mock Interview. Add your résumé and the job description, choose 3, 5 or 8 questions and the mix (behavioral, technical, system design, coding), and answer out loud. Read the score, what to fix and the model answer for each.
- Practice without installing in the free browser mock interview: 113 real questions across 9 tracks. For coding rounds, see the coding interview copilot page.
- Check the rules. Follow the rules of the employer or assessment you're in — many people use it only to practice, which works on the free plan.
