This comparison is honest. LockedIn AI is a real product with real users; we are not going to pretend otherwise. Where we differ from them is on three specific decisions: free tier substance, flat versus credit-based pricing, and multi-model AI flexibility. The right choice depends on what you actually need.

Both products have a free option, but they meter it differently. CoPilot Interview's free tier is permanent: 15 minutes of live help a day (sessions up to 15 minutes), no credit card, working transcription, and free open-source models (GPT-OSS 120B, Qwen) that respond in 3-5 seconds. LockedIn AI says all new users get free access with no card, and usage is measured in per-minute credits; its site doesn't publish how many free credits you get, so check before you rely on it for a full mock interview.

Platforms: where LockedIn AI is ahead

LockedIn AI runs on more devices than CoPilot Interview: desktop apps for Windows 10+ and macOS 13.1+, a web app for Chrome, Edge, Chromium, Opera and Brave, a Chrome extension, and iOS and Android apps, per its site. CoPilot Interview is a native desktop app for Windows and macOS only. If you need help on a phone, or on a machine where you can't install software, LockedIn AI is the better fit. If you will be at your own Windows or Mac computer, a dedicated desktop window avoids three failure modes of browser-based setups: (1) a browser auto-update the night before your final round breaks an extension, (2) corporate IT policy blocks extension installation, (3) the meeting tab takes focus and a tab-based overlay disappears behind a presented window.

Multi-model AI
