Huru vs Yoodli: Which AI Interview Practice Tool to Use

Free plans, prices, how a session works, feedback and data terms, from each vendor's own site as of October 2026.

Huru vs Yoodli, in short: Huru is the better fit for most job seekers, because every Huru feature is free for job seekers as of October 2026, including unlimited mock interviews, a live AI interviewer that asks follow-up questions, answers on video or audio only, and a score out of 100 for every answer. Yoodli is an AI roleplay platform for communication skills: its free Starter plan allows up to 5 roleplays in total, and Pro costs $11 a month (or $8 a month billed annually) for up to 10 roleplays a week.

We make CoPilot Interview, another practice tool, and cover it as a third option near the end. Every Huru fact below comes from huru.ai and its App Store listing, and every Yoodli fact from yoodli.ai (its pricing page, FAQ and interview-preparation page), all read on October 20, 2026.

Pricing compared (as of October 2026)

Huru

Huru's homepage lists two plans. The free plan for job seekers is $0 with no subscription and includes the live AI interviewer, the Interview Skills Agent, unlimited mock interviews, the full feedback report, the 50,000+ question library, custom interviews, the Chrome extension and multiple languages. Its FAQ says there is no paid plan for job seekers; the only paid plan is Enterprise, for organizations such as universities, priced for each one. The iPhone app is free too, and its listing says there is no subscription, paywall or trial.

Yoodli

Starter$0$0Up to 5 roleplays in total, live AI roleplays, feedback on uploaded recordings
Pro$11/mo$8/moUp to 10 roleplays a week (unused ones do not roll over), user community
Advanced$28/mo$20/moUnlimited roleplays, data excluded from AI training, reimbursable as a learning benefit

Prices are from Yoodli's pricing page, which counts any practice session over 30 seconds as a roleplay. By our arithmetic, three months of Pro month to month cost $33, and a year of Pro billed annually comes to $96. Huru costs $0 for the same period. See our Yoodli pricing guide for the details.

How a practice session works

Huru

  1. Choose your interview: a role from the library, a job description you paste, or questions you write yourself. Then choose a live conversation or question by question.
  2. Talk it through: pick one of three interviewers (a warm hiring manager, a direct head of department or an analytical senior team lead), a length of 5, 10, 15 or 20 minutes, and a pressure level of supportive, standard or demanding. Captions, repeat and mute are there if you need them.
  3. Read your debrief: a few minutes later you get your score out of 100, a verdict, the three things to work on next and your answers rewritten stronger, with your recording and a synced transcript.

Huru says each answer is scored on relevance, structure, specificity, impact and articulation, and that in a live interview the overall score combines answer quality (70%) with conversation skills (30%).

Yoodli

  1. Choose your conversation context: an interview, or another conversation such as a salary negotiation or a performance talk.
  2. Practice the conversation: Yoodli's interview-preparation page says the AI responds to the context and to your answers, and its heading promises an interview "with live follow-up questions."
  3. Get instant feedback: a speaking report with analytics "such as pacing and filler words," plus suggestions. You can also upload a recording and get feedback on it.

Feedback, accuracy and your data

Huru is candid about its limits. Its FAQ calls its feedback "consistent and specific, but not infallible," says it can occasionally mishear a word, and calls its scores coaching signals, not hiring decisions or guarantees. Read the transcript before you trust a low score; our guide to how AI interview tools score answers explains why.

Yoodli's feedback centers on delivery, so it's strongest when you already know what to say and need to say it more cleanly. On data, Yoodli's FAQ says that on the Starter and Pro plans, session data may be used to improve the platform, while Advanced, Team and Enterprise plans exclude your roleplay data from AI training by default. If that matters to you, Advanced is the plan to look at.

Tip: Run the same answer in both. Record a one-minute answer in Huru for a content score, then rehearse it in a Yoodli roleplay to check pacing and filler words. Yoodli's 5 free roleplays are enough to see whether its feedback adds anything before you pay.

Who each one fits

Huru fits you if you're on a zero budget, you want unlimited spoken reps, you'd like to watch yourself back on video, or you're outside tech, since its 242+ roles reach well beyond software jobs. Its AI coach page also lists five practice languages. It fits less well if you want a human on the other side, or if you live on Android and want a native app rather than the web app.

Yoodli fits you if interviews are one of several conversations you want to improve, you'd use roleplays for sales or presentations at work, or your employer will cover a learning tool (reimbursement is supported on Advanced). It fits less well if you're job hunting on a budget, since the free plan stops at 5 roleplays in total and a paid month can't be refunded.

A third option: CoPilot Interview

CoPilot Interview is a desktop app for Windows 10+ and macOS 12+ built around practice. Its Mock Interview builds the interview from both your résumé and the job description, lets you pick the level, 3, 5 or 8 questions and a mix of behavioral, technical, system design and coding questions, reads each question aloud, and scores your spoken answer out of 10 with what to fix and a model answer, then a report card. Coding questions use your chosen language and never auto-submit.

Disclosure: we make CoPilot Interview.

Huru gives you more free volume than CoPilot Interview's 15 minutes a day, and it has an iPhone app, which CoPilot Interview doesn't yet. CoPilot Interview is the closer fit for technical rounds. It also has a live Candidate Mode for real calls. Follow the rules of the employer or assessment you're in — many people use it only to practice, which works on the free plan. Add technical questions to your free practice

CoPilot Interview's browser mock interview has 113 real questions across 9 tracks, including coding, system design and SQL, with nothing to install. The free desktop app scores each spoken answer out of 10.

FAQ

Is Huru or Yoodli better for job interview practice?

For most job seekers, Huru. As of October 2026 every Huru feature is free for job seekers, including unlimited mock interviews and a live AI interviewer that asks follow-up questions. Yoodli is better if you want to practice other conversations too, such as salary negotiations, and want feedback on pacing and filler words.

Is Huru really free?

Yes, for job seekers. Huru lists a $0 plan with no subscription, and its FAQ says there is no paid plan for job seekers. The only paid plan is Enterprise, for organizations such as universities. Its iPhone app is also free with no subscription, paywall or trial.

How much does Yoodli cost?

As of October 2026, Yoodli Starter is free with up to 5 roleplays in total. Pro is $11 a month or $8 a month billed annually, with up to 10 roleplays a week. Advanced is $28 a month or $20 a month billed annually, with unlimited roleplays. Yoodli says it does not offer refunds on cancellation.

Do Huru and Yoodli have mobile apps?

Huru has an iPhone and iPad app that needs iOS 16.4 or later, and Android users practice in the web app through a mobile browser. Yoodli runs as a web app; we did not find a mobile app on its site.

Which one gives feedback on filler words?

Yoodli's speaking report includes analytics such as pacing and filler words. Huru scores the content of each answer out of 100 on relevance, structure, specificity, impact and articulation, and gives you your recording with a synced transcript so you can check your delivery yourself.

Do Huru and Yoodli help with coding interviews?

Neither describes coding practice on the pages we checked: Huru is built around spoken answers and Yoodli around conversations. For coding and system design questions, CoPilot Interview's Mock Interview uses your chosen coding language and scores each answer out of 10. We make CoPilot Interview.
