How to cancel Final Round AI: open Settings → Account & Billing in the desktop app, select Manage subscription and confirm the cancellation in the billing portal that opens in your browser, but know that cancelling never refunds a charge, because a refund needs a separate email within 72 hours of that charge. That is the process as of October 2026, taken from Final Round AI's own FAQ (last reviewed October 8, 2026) and its Refund Policy (last updated October 8, 2026).
Every paid plan renews automatically until you cancel, so do it before your renewal date. Below are the exact steps, what you keep afterwards, the refund rules in plain words and what to do if the option isn't where you expect it. If you want the plan prices first, our Final Round AI pricing breakdown lists every plan.
How to cancel Final Round AI, step by step
- Open the Final Round AI desktop app and sign in with the same account and sign-in method you paid with.
- Open Settings → Account & Billing.
- Select Manage subscription. Subscription management opens in your browser.
- Complete and confirm the cancellation in that secure portal. Final Round's FAQ is explicit that opening the portal "alone does not cancel anything", so finish every step it shows.
- Read the effective date and final terms the portal displays, and save the confirmation.
- Back in the app, go to Settings → Account & Billing and select Refresh subscription status beside Plan to check that the change went through.
The same portal holds your payment history and receipts, so download any invoices you need for your records while you're there.
| Question | Answer (as of October 2026) |
|---|---|
| Where do I cancel? | Desktop app: Settings → Account & Billing → Manage subscription, then confirm in the browser portal |
| By when? | Before your next renewal date; every plan renews automatically |
| Does cancelling refund me? | No. It stops future charges only |
| Refund window | 72 hours from the charge, once per customer, no substantial use |
| Where do I ask for a refund? | Email hi@finalroundai.com (the FAQ also lists support@finalroundai.com) |
| How do I delete the account? | On the website: Account settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account → Delete My Account |
Paid through the App Store or Google Play?
Final Round AI's FAQ covers its desktop app for Mac and Windows, and its Terms of Use name Stripe as the payment processor without mentioning Apple or Google billing. A Final Round subscription is managed in its own billing portal, as above. If your statement shows a charge through Apple or Google under a similar name, open the subscription list on your phone to see which app it belongs to before you contact Final Round.
What happens after you cancel Final Round AI
- Future charges stop. Cancelling prevents the next renewal charge, but it doesn't refund the billing period you've already paid for.
- No refund request is sent. Final Round treats cancelling and asking for a refund as two separate actions. The refund needs its own email, covered below.
- Check your end date. The portal shows when the change takes effect. Final Round's pages don't spell out how long paid access lasts after you cancel, so read the date there rather than guessing.
- Sessions need a subscription. Without one, the FAQ says you can still prepare Goals, upload your résumé and materials and review settings, but starting live or practice sessions requires an active subscription.
- Your account and files stay. Cancelling doesn't delete anything. Deleting is a separate step.
How to delete your Final Round AI account
Account deletion happens on the website, not in the desktop app: sign in, open Account settings, find Danger Zone, select Delete Account and confirm with Delete My Account. Final Round says deletion is permanent and separate from erasing the copilot's coaching memory. If you can't sign in, email support@finalroundai.com with the subject "Data deletion request". If you used the older web version, your résumés sit in AI Drive and older reports in Interview Reports on the website, so download anything you want to keep before you delete.
Final Round AI refund policy in plain words
Final Round AI offers a 3-day (72-hour) money-back guarantee on initial and renewal charges for all subscription plans, including monthly plans. To qualify, all of these must be true:
- You email within 72 hours of the charge. The deadline is met when you send the email, not when support replies, so don't wait for a troubleshooting answer first.
- No substantial use. Substantial use means at least two interview sessions in the current billing period that each lasted more than 30 minutes. A session of exactly 30 minutes doesn't count toward it.
- It's your first refund. The guarantee works once per customer across all accounts and plans. A declined or withdrawn request doesn't use it up.
- You include the details. Send your account email, the purchase or renewal charge date, the plan type and the reason.
Two smaller rules matter. For Stripe payments, the refund is reduced by the processing fees Stripe doesn't return, where the law allows, and the deduction is itemized on your confirmation. And an approved full refund also cancels future renewals and ends the paid access for that period. Final Round starts approved refunds within 5 to 7 business days, and Stripe refunds typically appear 5 to 10 business days after that.
After 72 hours, payments are final, except for refunds required by law, duplicate or mistaken charges, and case-by-case approvals for verified technical problems on accounts without substantial use. Not getting a job offer is not a reason for a refund. The full text is in Final Round AI's Refund Policy.
If you can't cancel Final Round AI
- Don't see your plan in Account & Billing? Final Round's FAQ suggests checking that the account and sign-in method match the purchase, then signing out and back in to the right account.
- Charged twice or by mistake? The Refund Policy says verified duplicate or erroneous charges are corrected regardless of the 72-hour window, the usage limit and the once-per-customer rule.
- Still stuck? Email support@finalroundai.com or hi@finalroundai.com with your account email and the charge date. Final Round says its Customer Success team aims to reply within 1 to 2 business days, and contacting it is optional before a refund request.
- Keep records. Save the portal confirmation, receipts and emails until your renewal date has passed with no new charge.

How do I cancel my Final Round AI subscription?
As of October 2026, open the Final Round AI desktop app, go to Settings → Account & Billing and select Manage subscription. Subscription management opens in your browser, where you complete and confirm the cancellation. Opening the portal alone does not cancel anything, so finish every step and check the effective date.
Does cancelling Final Round AI give me a refund?
No. Cancelling stops future charges but does not refund the current billing period, and it does not submit a refund request. To get money back, email hi@finalroundai.com within 72 hours of the charge with your account email, charge date, plan type and reason.
How long do I have to ask Final Round AI for a refund?
72 hours from the charge, for initial and renewal charges on any subscription plan. The deadline is met when you send the email. The guarantee works once per customer and only if the billing period shows no substantial use.
What counts as substantial use for a Final Round AI refund?
At least two interview sessions in the current billing period that each lasted more than 30 minutes. A session of exactly 30 minutes does not count. If you reach that threshold, the 72-hour guarantee no longer applies to that charge.
Can I cancel Final Round AI on my phone?
Final Round AI's FAQ describes cancelling only through the desktop app's Settings → Account & Billing → Manage subscription, and its terms name Stripe as the payment processor without mentioning App Store or Google Play billing. If you can't open the desktop app, email support@finalroundai.com.
How do I delete my Final Round AI account?
On the website, sign in, open Account settings, find Danger Zone, select Delete Account and confirm with Delete My Account. Deletion is permanent, so cancel the subscription and download any résumés or reports you want to keep before you delete.
Is Final Round AI's Interview CoPilot the same as CoPilot Interview?
No. Interview CoPilot is the name of Final Round AI’s product. CoPilot Interview is a separate desktop app made by NeuraSense AI LLC, and it is not affiliated with Final Round AI, Microsoft Copilot or GitHub Copilot.
