Big Interview review (2026): pricing, features, alternatives

A course-first interview platform with AI practice and video feedback. What it includes, what it costs and who should look elsewhere, checked October 2026.

Big Interview is a paid interview-training platform: video lessons, an AI Interview Simulator that gives feedback on your spoken and video-recorded answers, an answer builder and an AI résumé checker. As of October 2026 it costs $39 for 30 days, $99 for 3 months or $299 for lifetime access, with a 30-day money-back guarantee. It's strongest as a structured course, and it also licenses to schools and workforce programs, so check whether you already have access.

We make CoPilot Interview, which also offers AI mock interviews, so read our take critically. Every Big Interview fact below comes from biginterview.com, checked in October 2026; we don't repeat its marketing figures about users or outcomes.

Big Interview review: the short verdict

Big Interview is the most course-like product in AI interview prep. Where most tools hand you a question and a score, it teaches first: lessons by career stage, frameworks for telling stories, quizzes, then practice with AI feedback on what you said and how you came across on camera. That makes it a good fit for new grads, career changers and anyone returning to work after a gap.

The trade-offs are cost and focus. There's no free plan or free trial on its pricing page, and the cheapest option is $39 for 30 days. Its practice covers behavioral, situational and technical questions plus delivery, but software engineers will still want a separate tool for hands-on coding and system design practice.

What is Big Interview?

Big Interview is made by Skillful Communications, Inc., which lists Big Interview as its trademark. The site says it was co-created with career coach Pamela Skillings. It sells to individual job seekers and, separately, to college career centers, government workforce agencies, nonprofits and employers under custom licenses. You sign in through the web at app.biginterview.com.

The site describes a three-step system: learn (expert-led lessons and frameworks), practice (real interview questions with video AI) and get feedback (AI insights and coaching tips, with progress tracking).

Big Interview features

Learn to interview

The lesson library is organized into 12 categories by career stage and interview challenge, with 170 video lessons, according to the site. It offers curated question sets and sample answers for more than 1,000 jobs across 200-plus fields, written breakdowns, quizzes after each lesson, and a Fast-Track module that covers the essentials in under 2 hours for people with an interview tomorrow. There's also salary negotiation training.

Interview Simulator and PracticeAI

The Interview Simulator page describes PracticeAI as mock interviews tailored to your résume or a job description, in a voice-only format "just like a real phone screen", with feedback on delivery and answer quality and a report showing what to improve. It draws on a library of more than 10,000 questions filtered by industry, role and seniority, and includes a step-by-step answer builder for behavioral, technical and situational questions.

VideoAI

The VideoAI page says it analyzes your video-recorded answers for pace of speech, vocabulary (including filler words such as "um" and "like"), eye contact and body language, with an eye tracker and tips on posture and facial expressions. That is useful practice for video interviews, where how you come across on camera matters as much as what you say.

Big Resume

Big Resume scores your résumé in four areas: Readability, Credibility, Format and ATS Fit. Its ATS Fit checker compares your résumé against real job descriptions. You can upload a file or build from scratch with templates and AI helpers for summaries, bullet points and skills lists. The site is clear that it's a coach, not a résumé writer.

Big Interview vs CoPilot Interview

The two overlap on AI mock interviews and differ on almost everything else. Big Interview is a course with practice attached, sold by subscription or lifetime fee. CoPilot Interview is a Windows and macOS desktop app built around practice: its Mock Interview mode builds the interview from your résumé and the job description, lets you choose the level, 3, 5 or 8 questions and the mix (behavioral, technical, system design, coding), reads each question aloud, scores your spoken answer out of 10 with what to fix and a model answer, then gives you a report card. Its free plan includes Mock Interview for 15 minutes every day, with no card.

Big Interview wins on teaching depth and video delivery feedback; CoPilot Interview has no lesson library and doesn't analyze your body language. CoPilot Interview wins on price, with free daily practice, and on coding and system design practice. It also has a live mode for real calls; if you ever use live help from any tool, follow the rules of the employer or assessment you're in — many people use it only to practice, which works on the free plan. Many candidates would do well with both: the free course and lessons to learn the frameworks, then scored reps against each new job description.
