What Big Interview is, and why people look for a Big Interview alternative
Big Interview is a course-first interview training platform. Its homepage describes three steps: learn from expert-led lessons and frameworks, practice real interview questions with video AI, and get feedback. Its Interview Simulator runs voice-only mock interviews "just like a real phone screen," with questions personalized from your résumé or a job description and a library of over 10,000 questions. VideoAI reviews recorded answers for pace, vocabulary, filler words, eye contact and body language. It also sells to higher education and government agencies.
Its personal pricing page lists three plans as of October 2026:
- Interview BootCamp: $39, a 30-day subscription.
- Interview Accelerator: $99, a 3-month subscription.
- Interview Pro: $299, one fee for lifetime access.
The page promises a 100% refund "if you don't see the results within 30 days," and its FAQ says to email support within 30 days of purchase for a full refund.
Why people compare alternatives, using only reasons we could check:
- No free plan or trial. There's a free course, but practice starts at $39.
- Subscriptions. BootCamp and Accelerator are subscriptions, so a one-month need means remembering to cancel.
- No coding practice. We found no coding environment or system design practice on its site.
- More course than you need. If you already know the STAR method and just want reps against a specific job, the lesson library is extra weight.
Before you switch, ask your college career center or workforce program whether it already gives you access. Our Big Interview review covers the product in depth, and CoPilot Interview vs Big Interview goes head to head.
The 7 best Big Interview alternatives, reviewed
1. CoPilot Interview: best for free daily practice from your own job
CoPilot Interview is a desktop app for Windows 10+ and macOS 12+. Its Mock Interview mode builds the interview from your résumé and the job description. You pick the level, 3, 5 or 8 questions, the mix (behavioral, technical, system design, coding), your coding language and an optional focus. It reads each question aloud, you answer out loud, and each answer is scored out of 10 with what worked, what to fix and a model answer, then a report card.
Strengths:
- Free every day: 15 minutes, sessions up to 15 minutes, all four modes, no account and no card. It isn't a trial.
- Covers the rounds Big Interview doesn't: coding questions in your chosen language (they never auto-submit) and system design.
- Nothing to install for the browser AI mock interview, which has 113 real questions across 9 tracks.
- Standard is $14.99/mo (sale; regular $19.99): 60-minute sessions, up to 100 minutes a day, no gap between sessions. A 14-day money-back guarantee covers the first payment of a new subscription if you used under 30 minutes of live session time.
Limits: no lesson library, no human feedback, and no video or body-language analysis. The full app is desktop only; the phone companion is an Android beta outside Google Play. AI answers can be wrong, so rehearse in your own words. It also has a live Candidate Mode for real calls. Follow the rules of the employer or assessment you're in — many people use it only to practice, which works on the free plan.
2. Huru: best free option with video playback
Huru is free for job seekers with no subscription, per huru.ai in October 2026. It runs live AI interviews with follow-up questions or question-by-question practice, on video or audio only, and scores every answer out of 100 on relevance, structure, specificity, impact and articulation.
Strengths: unlimited mock interviews, a 50,000+ question library, a Chrome extension that builds an interview from a job post, five languages and an iPhone app. Watching yourself back gives you some of what Big Interview's VideoAI does, for free.
Limits: no native Android app, no lessons, AI feedback only, and no code editor described on its site. See our Huru review.
3. Yoodli: best cheap communication practice
Yoodli is an AI roleplay platform now aimed mainly at sales and training teams, but its pricing page still lists interview prep for individuals. Starter is free with up to 5 roleplays in total. Pro is $8/mo billed annually for up to 10 roleplays a week, and Advanced is $20/mo billed annually for unlimited roleplays.
Limits: no refunds on cancellation, and the product is built around workplace conversations rather than interview questions. Compare the two in Yoodli vs Big Interview.
4. Aced (formerly Exponent): best for tech-role courses
If you liked Big Interview's teaching but work in tech or finance, Aced is the closer course. Exponent renamed itself Aced in August 2026. It sells courses for product management, software engineering, system design, data, machine learning, investment banking and more, plus a question database and peer mock interviews.
Strengths: deep role-specific content. Per Aced's pricing page, Basic is free with 5 peer mocks a month; Pro is $79/mo or $12/mo billed annually with all courses and unlimited peer mocks; Expert adds AI mock interviews for $99/mo or $20/mo billed annually.
Limits: full refunds only within 5 days of purchase, and month to month it costs more than Big Interview's BootCamp. Read our Exponent (Aced) review.
5. interviewing.io: best for engineers who want a real interviewer
interviewing.io books anonymous audio-and-chat mock interviews with senior, staff and principal engineers who make hiring decisions at large tech companies. Its FAQ says sessions start at $179, that it will issue a full refund if you're unhappy with your interview, and that its AI Interviewer for coding and system design is free.
Limits: engineering subjects only, no video, and expensive for volume. See the interviewing.io review.
6. IGotAnOffer: best for a human coach outside tech
Big Interview's audience includes many non-engineers, and IGotAnOffer covers them with human coaches: product managers, management consultants, investment bankers, engineers and data scientists, among others. Its coaching page says a credit costs about $50, coaches charge 2 to 5 credits per one-hour session, and a session is a 45-minute mock interview plus 15 minutes of feedback.
Strengths: real judgment from someone who has done the job. If you're unhappy with your first session with a coach, you can ask for a refund within 24 hours (up to one session per client), and unused credits are refundable within 30 days.
Limits: $100 to $250 an hour adds up quickly, and credits expire after 12 months.
7. Orai: best for speaking practice on a phone
Orai is a public-speaking app for iOS, Android and the web that scores filler words, pace, clarity and energy as soon as you finish speaking. It's free to download; its site doesn't list paid-plan prices.
Limits: it coaches delivery, not interview content, so pair it with a tool that scores the answer itself.
Which Big Interview alternative is free?
Several are, and they're free in different ways. This matters more than the list price, because most people practice for four to eight weeks.
| Tool | What's free (as of Oct 2026) | What you'd pay for next |

| Huru | Everything for job seekers, unlimited mock interviews | Nothing; Enterprise is for organizations |
| Aced | Sample lessons and 5 peer mocks a month | Pro for courses and unlimited peer mocks |
| interviewing.io | AI Interviewer for coding and system design | Human mocks from $179 |
| Yoodli | 5 roleplays for the life of the account | Pro $8/mo billed annually |

How we chose these Big Interview alternatives
We compared what each vendor publishes on its own pricing pages, homepages and FAQs, checked in October 2026. We did not run paid hands-on tests of every product, and we left out user counts and success-rate claims because they aren't independently audited. We focused on practice tools, since that's what Big Interview is.

- What does a 4 to 8 week search cost, and what are the refund terms?
- Does it score the answer, the delivery, or both?
- Does it cover technical rounds as well as behavioral ones?
- Is there a human option when the stakes are high?
