The best Exponent alternatives are CoPilot Interview for free daily mock interviews scored out of 10, interviewing.io for a technical round with a senior engineer, IGotAnOffer for a human product management or system design coach, and Hello Interview or ByteByteGo for system design courses you pay for once. Exponent itself is now called Aced: as of October 2026, Pro costs $79 a month (or $12 a month billed annually) and AI mock interviews need the Expert plan at $99 a month (or $20 a month billed annually).
Exponent bundles three things: courses, peer mock interviews and paid coaching. Most alternatives replace one of those, not all three, so the useful question is which part you need. We make CoPilot Interview; every other fact below comes from each vendor's own site, checked in October 2026.

What Exponent is now, and why people look for an Exponent alternative
Exponent renamed itself Aced in August 2026, and its rebrand post, "Exponent is now Aced", describes a family of brands that includes InterviewCake and Pramp. The site footer still names Exponent Labs, LLC. It sells interview prep for product management, software engineering, system design and other tech roles, plus a finance track.
The Aced pricing page lists three memberships as of October 2026:
- Basic, $0: sample lessons and questions, 5 peer mocks a month, basic job referrals, no credit card.
- Pro, $79/mo or $12/mo billed annually: all courses, video and written solutions, company guides, unlimited peer mocks, the full question database and priority referrals.
- Expert, $99/mo or $20/mo billed annually: everything in Pro, plus AI mock interviews, AI interview feedback and chat with its AI coach.
Memberships renew automatically, and the FAQ says "We offer full refunds within 5 days of purchase." Coaching is sold separately from membership.
Reasons people compare alternatives, all checkable on Aced's own pages:
- Month-to-month cost. For a one-month search, Pro is $79 and Expert $99; the low rates need a year's commitment.
- AI mocks sit on the top plan. Pro covers courses and peer mocks, not the AI mock interviewer.
- Peer mocks need a partner and a slot. Its practice page describes sessions of about an hour, with each person interviewing for about 30 minutes, so they don't fit a spare ten minutes.
- A 5-day refund window. You have to judge the courses quickly.
One thing that isn't an alternative: Pramp. Its homepage says that as of July 2024, all new Pramp sessions are hosted on Aced Practice, so it's the same company. For the full picture, read our Exponent (Aced) review or the Exponent pricing guide.
The 7 best Exponent alternatives, reviewed
1. CoPilot Interview: best for daily AI mock interviews
Aced puts AI mock interviews on its $99 Expert plan. CoPilot Interview puts them on its free plan. It's a desktop app for Windows 10+ and macOS 12+ whose Mock Interview mode builds the interview from your résumé and the job description. You choose the level, 3, 5 or 8 questions, the mix (behavioral, technical, system design, coding), your coding language and an optional focus. It reads each question aloud, you answer out loud, and you get a score out of 10 per answer with what worked, what to fix and a model answer, then a report card.
Strengths:
- 15 free minutes every day, all four modes, no account and no card; it isn't a trial.
- No scheduling: run 3 questions whenever you have 15 minutes.
- System design and coding questions in the same session as behavioral ones; coding questions never auto-submit.
- Standard is $14.99/mo (sale; regular $19.99) with 60-minute sessions, up to 100 minutes a day and no gap between sessions. New subscriptions have a 14-day money-back guarantee on the first payment if you used under 30 minutes of live session time.
Limits: no course library, no question database from real candidates, no peers and no human coaches. AI answers can be wrong, so practice in your own words. It also has a live Candidate Mode for real calls. Follow the rules of the employer or assessment you're in — many people use it only to practice, which works on the free plan. See CoPilot Interview vs Exponent.
2. interviewing.io: best expert mocks for engineers
interviewing.io is the closest swap for Exponent's paid coaching if you're a software engineer. Its homepage says interviewers are senior, staff or principal engineers or engineering managers who make hiring decisions at FAANG and FAANG-adjacent companies, in anonymous sessions with audio and chat but no video.
Strengths: system design, ML system design, coding, front-end, engineering management and staff-level subjects. Its FAQ says sessions start at $179, promises a full refund if you're unhappy with your interview, and calls its AI Interviewer for coding and system design free.
Limits: no product management track, no video, and no flat-rate volume. Compare it in Exponent vs interviewing.io.
3. IGotAnOffer: best human coaching for PM and system design
If product management is why you used Exponent, IGotAnOffer's coach list includes product managers, managers of PMs and technical program managers as well as engineers. Its coaching page says a credit costs about $50, coaches charge 2 to 5 credits per one-hour session (a 45-minute mock plus 15 minutes of feedback), and credits last 12 months.
Strengths: you pick the coach by role and company, and if you're unhappy with your first session with a coach you can ask for a refund within 24 hours (one session per client). Unused credits are refundable within 30 days.
Limits: $100 to $250 an hour, and no unlimited practice.
4. Hello Interview: best system design course with an AI interviewer
Hello Interview's Premium covers system design, low-level design, coding, AI coding and behavioral courses, 66 Guided Practice problems and 5,000+ candidate-reported questions. Its Live Practice runs a full system design interview out loud and gives a hire or no-hire decision for your target level.
Price: per its pricing page, $47 for 1 month (regular $59) with 1 Live Practice interview, $89 for 1 year (regular $119) with 2, or $299 lifetime (regular $399) with 4, paid once with no auto-renewal on lifetime.
Limits: only a few AI interviews per plan, no PM track, and it ended its human mock interviews and mentorship on May 31, 2026.
5. ByteByteGo: best for system design reading
ByteByteGo sells text-based, illustrated courses: System Design Interview, Coding Interview Patterns, Object-Oriented Design, Machine Learning System Design, Mobile System Design, Generative AI System Design, Behavioral Interview and a résumé course. Its pricing page showed one year of access for $189 (regular $399) and lifetime access for $499 (regular $999) in October 2026.
Limits: reading, not practice: there are no mock interviews, and its FAQ says the courses aren't refundable. Pair it with spoken reps.
6. Huru: best free behavioral practice
For the behavioral round, Huru is free for job seekers with unlimited mock interviews, a live AI interviewer that asks follow-up questions, and a score out of 100 per answer. It runs on the web, iPhone and iPad.
Limits: no code editor or system design whiteboard described on its site, and no Android app. See our Huru review.
7. Big Interview: best general course outside tech
Big Interview is a course-first platform with lessons, a voice-only interview simulator personalized from your résumé or a job description, and VideoAI feedback on pace, vocabulary, eye contact and body language. As of October 2026 it costs $39 for 30 days, $99 for 3 months or $299 for lifetime access, with a 30-day money-back guarantee.
Limits: no free plan or trial, and no coding or system design practice found on its site. Read our Big Interview review.

How we chose these Exponent alternatives
We compared published pricing pages, homepages and FAQs, checked in October 2026. We didn't run paid hands-on tests of every product, and we left out user counts and outcome claims because they aren't independently audited. We excluded Pramp because its sessions now run on Aced Practice, and we left out tools whose main pitch is help during live calls, since Exponent is a preparation product.
- Coverage of product management, system design and behavioral rounds.
- A free option that allows real practice.
- Total cost over one to three months, and refund terms.
- Whether you get a human, an AI interviewer, or only reading.
Which Exponent alternative should you pick?
- Interview in under two weeks: CoPilot Interview's free daily mocks from the real job description, plus the system design cheat sheet. Skip courses you won't finish.
- Software engineer with a big-tech onsite: daily AI reps, then one or two interviewing.io sessions in the final week or two.
- Product manager: stay with Aced if you want its PM course, or book one or two IGotAnOffer coaches and rehearse your stories daily with AI mocks.
- System design over several months: Hello Interview or ByteByteGo for content, with spoken reps alongside.
- You liked peer mocks: keep Aced Basic; its 5 free peer mocks a month cost nothing.
