Exponent Pricing (October 2026): Aced Basic, Pro, Expert and Coaching

Exponent is now called Aced. What its free Basic plan, Pro and Expert memberships and coaching cost, how refunds and renewals work, and the cost per interview.

Exponent pricing, as of October 2026, is listed under Exponent's new name, Aced: a free Basic plan, Pro at $79 a month or $149 a year, and Expert (Pro plus AI mock interviews and an AI coach) at $99 a month or $249 a year. One-on-one coaching is sold separately at $249 a session, or $200 a session in a 5-pack, and memberships come with a full refund within 5 days of purchase.

Exponent renamed itself Aced in August 2026, and tryexponent.com now redirects to aced.io; the site footer still names Exponent Labs, LLC. Aced's pricing page shows annual plans only as per-month figures ($12 and $20 a month), so we read the yearly totals from its own checkout flow on October 20, 2026: Stripe checkout showed Pro at $149.00 per year, and the pre-checkout page offered the upgrade to Expert at $249 a year. All prices are in USD. We make CoPilot Interview, a different kind of interview tool, so read the comparison with that in mind.

What the free Basic plan includes

Basic costs nothing and needs no credit card. You get sample lessons, sample questions, basic job referrals and 5 peer mock interviews a month. Aced's practice page describes those as hour-long sessions: you're matched with a peer preparing for the same kind of interview, you take turns as interviewer and interviewee, and you trade notes using rubrics afterward, with AI feedback added.

Full courses, the full question database and unlimited peer mocks need Pro. AI mock interviews need Expert. If you mainly want human practice partners a few times a month, Basic may be all you need.

Pro or Expert: which Aced membership fits

Pro is the course library plus unlimited peer practice. Expert adds Aced's AI suite: AI mock interviews, AI interview feedback and chat with Ace, the AI coach announced with the rename. Aced's "Exponent is now Aced" post says Ace can build study plans, research questions for a role or company, and explain hard concepts from the lessons.

Tip: Annual Pro at $149 is cheaper than two monthly payments, and Aced refunds memberships in full within 5 days of purchase. If your search might run past a month, buying annual and using those 5 days to check the courses is the cheapest route.

Aced coaching prices

Coaching isn't part of any membership, and buying coaching doesn't include a membership. A coach's booking page on Aced listed these prices on October 20, 2026:

Coaching optionPricePer session or what's included

Mock interviews, 3 sessions$675$225 a session
Mock interviews, 5 sessions$999$200 a session

Applying to Jobs Program$999Onboarding, résumé and LinkedIn review, two 1-hour sessions, access to all Aced courses

All three programs include 20% off future coaching sessions. When we added annual Pro to the cart, the pre-checkout page offered one coaching session for $199 (20% off). Aced promises a 100% refund if you don't love your first coaching session. Unused sessions never expire and can be refunded within six months of purchase, minus any multi-session discount, and a session cancelled, rescheduled or missed with less than 24 hours' notice counts as used.

Exponent (Aced) refund, renewal and cancellation terms

On an annual plan, the 5-day window is the only membership refund the pricing page promises, so decide quickly. Our guide to cancelling Exponent (Aced) covers the steps.

What Exponent (Aced) costs per interview: three example schedules

Here is the arithmetic for three schedules we made up, at the prices shown on October 20, 2026, before tax, using the cheapest membership that covers each. Coaching isn't included.

1. One interview next week, courses onlyPro, 1 month$79$79.00
2. Eight interviews over 6 weeks, courses and peer mocksPro, annual$149$18.63

Disclosure: we make CoPilot Interview.

CoPilot Interview's figures assume 15 minutes of Mock Interview a day on the free plan, or Standard for one, two and three months at the sale price if you want 60-minute sessions; at the regular $19.99 those would be $19.99, $39.98 and $59.97.

Where Aced is stronger: a deep course library across product, engineering and data roles, human practice partners, expert coaches, and a cheaper annual plan than CoPilot Interview's Pro Annual. Where CoPilot Interview costs less: AI mock interviews on the free plan, a much cheaper month, and practice built from your own résumé and the job description, with a report card at the end. See our Exponent (Aced) review, the Exponent alternative page, Exponent vs interviewing.io and our AI interview assistant comparison. Pramp's peer sessions now run on Aced Practice, which we compare in CoPilot Interview vs Pramp.

For system design rounds, the free system design cheat sheet and our system design interview practice page pair well with any course, and a free AI mock interview in your browser covers 9 tracks, from behavioral to SQL.

Rehearse your course material out loud

CoPilot Interview's Mock Interview builds questions from your résumé and the job description and scores each spoken answer out of 10, with a model answer and a report card. Free for 15 minutes a day on Windows and Mac, no signup needed.
