How to cancel Exponent: Exponent now operates as Aced, so you cancel on your account page at aced.io/account any time before your renewal date, and as of October 2026 Aced gives a full membership refund only within 5 days of purchase. Coaching sessions are separate: unused sessions can be refunded within six months of purchase.
tryexponent.com now redirects to aced.io, and Aced's pages carry a "formerly Exponent" label, so if you joined under the old name, this is where your membership is now managed. Everything below comes from the FAQ on Aced's support page and its pricing page, both checked on October 20, 2026. We make CoPilot Interview, which also offers mock interviews, so we stick to what Aced publishes.

How to cancel Exponent (Aced), step by step
- Log in at aced.io (tryexponent.com redirects there).
- Open your account page at aced.io/account.
- Cancel your plan before the renewal date. Aced's FAQ says your membership renews automatically and that you can cancel at any time before your renewal date from the account page.
- Ask for a refund if you're within 5 days of purchase by emailing support@aced.io from the address on your account.
Aced's FAQ doesn't name the buttons on the account page, so we don't guess them here. If you can't find the cancel option, email support@aced.io and ask them to turn off renewal, and keep their reply.
App-store purchases
Aced's FAQ describes cancelling only on the account page and doesn't mention App Store or Google Play billing, so use the web steps above.
What happens after you cancel Exponent (Aced)
- Renewal stops. Cancelling before the renewal date means you aren't charged for the next period. Aced's FAQ doesn't say how long access lasts after you cancel, so ask support if you're mid-period and that matters.
- The free tier. Aced lists a Basic plan at $0 with no credit card: sample lessons, 5 peer mocks a month, sample questions and basic job referrals. The FAQ doesn't say whether a cancelled membership drops to Basic automatically.
- Coaching credits. Coaching is sold separately from the membership, and Aced says unused sessions never expire. Only deleting your account is described as removing them.
- Deleting your account. You do this on the account page too. Aced prompts you to cancel auto-renew subscriptions first and asks you to set and enter a password before deletion.
For context, Aced's pricing page shows Pro at $79 a month on monthly billing, or $12 a month on annual billing, and Expert (which adds AI mock interviews, AI interview feedback and the AI coach) at $99 a month, or $20 a month on annual billing, as of October 2026. The page doesn't show the annual total. Our Exponent pricing guide covers the plans.
Aced's refund policy in plain words
For memberships, the FAQ says: "We offer full refunds within 5 days of purchase." It asks you to reach out if you aren't satisfied for any reason. It publishes no refund for a membership after those 5 days.
Coaching has its own rules:
- Unused sessions are eligible for a refund within six months of purchase.
- Multi-session packs lose the pack discount when refunded. Aced's own example: buy a 5-session pack, use 3, and you're refunded the difference between the 5-session and 3-session pack prices.
- If your coach can't take the session, you can book any other coach or email support@aced.io for a refund of that unused session.
- Missed sessions, and cancellations or reschedules within 24 hours, count as used. Change a booking at least 24 hours ahead.
If cancelling Exponent (Aced) doesn't work
Email support@aced.io. Aced says support works Monday through Thursday, 8 AM to 8 PM Pacific time, and replies within 2 business days. Include your account email, your plan, your renewal date and, if you signed up before the rename, that it was an Exponent account. Write as soon as you decide: Aced doesn't say whether the 5-day refund window is measured from your email or from its reply, and a reply can take 2 business days.
