What an AI Interview Assistant Costs per Hour of Interviews (2026)

Per hour of live interviews, an AI interview assistant costs from about $10 on a one-time pack to well over $100 on a weekly or premium monthly plan, and the only number that matters is the price divided by the hours you will actually use. A $19.99 plan you use for one hour costs $19.99 an hour; a $49.99 plan you use for ten hours costs about $5.

This page gives you the formula, CoPilot Interview's plans worked through at several usage levels, and competitor prices as of October 25, 2026 so you can run the same math on them.

The formula: price divided by hours you will use

Cost per hour equals what you pay in a billing period divided by the hours of live interviews you hold in that period. Not the hours the plan allows: the hours you hold. A plan with unlimited minutes that you use for two hours costs half its price per hour.

Two things break the formula. Session caps: if the plan's session is shorter than your round, the extra minutes are not usable hours. Expiry: subscription hours vanish at the end of the month, while a pack that never expires counts every hour you eventually use. Our cost overview covers the plan types in depth.

Prices are from our pricing page on October 25, 2026. The per-hour columns divide the price by the hours used in the billing period; the figures are in USD.

Read the table by row: the 1-hour pack is a flat rate, so it wins at low usage and loses at high usage. Standard beats the 1-hour pack from 3 hours a month. The free plan is $0 at any usage that fits its 15-minute sessions.

These are the list prices on each vendor's pricing page on that date; we have not linked them and they may change. The last column divides the monthly price by 5 hours of interviews, in USD, to put them on the same footing as the table above.

Two cautions. Some of these are general meeting assistants rather than interview tools, and the features behind each price differ. And a low sticker price with a short session cap can cost more per usable hour than a higher one, which is the point of our cheapest AI interview assistant comparison.

Why the sticker price misleads

For the reasons behind these prices, see why AI interview assistants are expensive.

How to compute yours in two minutes

  1. List your scheduled rounds for the next 30 days and their lengths. A typical round is 45 to 60 minutes.
  2. Add full-length rehearsals you want with the live assistant running.
  3. Total the hours. That is your denominator.
  4. For each plan you are considering, check that the session cap covers your longest round, then divide the price by your hours.
  5. A result above $10 means a 1-hour pack at $9.99 is cheaper; a result below it means the plan wins. Our hour packs vs subscription page works three examples.

Frequently asked questions

How much does an AI interview assistant cost per hour?

From about $10 an hour on a one-time pack to well over $100 an hour on a weekly or premium plan you barely use. Divide the plan price by the hours of interviews you will hold in the billing period; at 5 hours a month, most monthly plans land between about $3 and $30 an hour.

What is the cheapest way to pay for one interview?

A one-time 1-hour pack at $9.99 is the cheapest paid option for a single round at CoPilot Interview, and it never expires. If the round is under 15 minutes, the free plan covers it at $0.

Is a cheaper monthly plan always cheaper per hour?

No. A low monthly price with a short session cap, a credit system or a daily limit can cost more per usable hour than a higher-priced plan whose sessions cover your whole round. Check the session length first, then divide.

Does the free plan count as $0 per hour?

Yes, for interviews that fit its limits: 15 minutes of live help every day in sessions of up to 15 minutes, which is roughly 7.5 hours a month. Rounds longer than 15 minutes need a pack or a subscription.
