AI Interview Assistant Compatibility: Zoom, Teams, Google Meet and Your OS

Call apps and operating systems for 10 AI interview assistants, from each vendor's own site in October 2026, plus a 5-minute test to check your own setup.

Nearly every AI interview assistant we checked works with Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Meet, because desktop tools listen to your computer's audio instead of plugging into the call app. None of the 10 vendors describes an official integration with those apps. The real differences are your operating system and phone: support for Linux, Chromebooks, iPhone and Android varies widely, so check the AI interview assistant compatibility tables below before you pick a tool.

Every competitor cell comes from that vendor's own site, checked in October 2026. Disclosure: we make CoPilot Interview, which is listed first.

Which AI interview assistants work with Zoom, Teams and Google Meet?

✓ means the vendor names the app on its own site. "Not named" means we could not find it there; the tool may still work if it hears your computer's audio, so test it first.

If you rely on an older Mac, the minimum version decides the shortlist: of the tools that state one, macOS 12 (CoPilot Interview) is the lowest, then 13.1 (LockedIn AI), 14 (Beyz AI), 14.2 (Hedy) and 14.4 (Final Round AI). Hardware needs such as memory and microphones are in our system requirements guide.

Why does "works with Zoom" usually mean audio capture, not an integration?

A desktop tool hears the interviewer the same way your headphones do: it captures the sound your computer plays, turns it into text with a speech-to-text model and sends that text to a language model. It never connects to Zoom's or Microsoft's servers, so any call app that plays sound through your computer usually works, including ones a vendor doesn't name. That is also why vendor lists are marketing rather than certification.

A few practical consequences:

What about phone interviews, Linux and Chromebooks?

Phone interviews. Phones can't capture other apps' audio, so most tools handle a phone screen with a second device: the call on your phone on speaker, the tool on your computer or another phone listening. Hedy says plainly it can't record a call on the same phone. With CoPilot Interview, the desktop app hears a call only when its audio plays through your computer, for example a call taken in a desktop app. Our guide to AI tools for phone interviews compares setups.

Linux. None of the 10 tools lists a native Linux app as of October 2026. Parakeet AI suggests running it in desktop Chrome, and Hedy says it has no Linux app.

Chromebooks. No vendor names ChromeOS. A web-based tool in Chrome is the only realistic option, with the browser-audio limits above.

How do you check compatibility in a 5-minute mock call?

  1. Install the tool on the exact computer you will interview from, and allow every permission it asks for.
  2. Start a call with a friend in the same app the employer uses: Zoom, Teams, Google Meet or Webex.
  3. Use the headset you'll use on the day. Bluetooth headsets sometimes switch audio devices when a call starts.
  4. Have your friend ask two questions. Check that captions appear for their voice, not yours, and that the text is accurate.
  5. Time the response from the end of the question to the first useful line.
  6. Leave and rejoin the call to see whether the tool picks the audio back up.

Better still, run the whole test as a practice round. A scored mock interview tells you whether the setup works and whether your answers do. Follow the rules of the employer or platform you're interviewing with — many people use it only to practice, which works on the free plan. Take assessments and AI-interviewer sessions yourself.

Where CoPilot Interview fits

Best choice for Windows and older Macs: CoPilot Interview. It runs in its own window beside Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Meet on Windows 10+ and macOS 12+, the lowest macOS minimum stated by any tool in this matrix. It shows live captions, then a structured answer in about 2 seconds after the question ends, and its Mock Interview scores each spoken answer out of 10. Setup guides for each call app are on our Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Meet pages, and how our AI interview assistant runs beside each call app covers every mode.

Its limits: no Linux or ChromeOS app, no web app for live help, an Android companion that is a beta installed outside Google Play, an iPhone version that isn't out yet, no human coach, and a free plan of 15 minutes a day. If you need a native phone app today, Hedy and LockedIn AI list them. Our AI interview app page has the Android details.

FAQ

Do AI interview assistants work with Zoom?

Most do. As of October 2026, all 10 tools we checked name Zoom on their sites. Desktop tools work by listening to your computer's audio, not through an official Zoom integration, so test your exact setup with a practice call first.

Which AI interview tools work with Microsoft Teams and Google Meet?

All 10 tools in our table name both Microsoft Teams and Google Meet. Browser-based tools may hear only browser audio, so if you join Teams through its desktop app, a desktop tool such as CoPilot Interview is the more reliable choice.

Does an AI interview assistant work with Webex?

Final Round AI, LockedIn AI, Verve AI, Parakeet AI, Interview Sidekick, Sensei AI and Hedy name Webex. CoPilot Interview works with Webex because it listens to your computer's audio; run a 2-minute test call first.

Can I use an AI interview tool on a Chromebook or Linux?

No vendor we checked names ChromeOS, and none lists a native Linux app. Parakeet AI suggests desktop Chrome on Linux. CoPilot Interview runs on Windows 10+ and macOS 12+ only.

Which AI interview tools have iPhone or Android apps?

Hedy has native iOS and Android apps, and LockedIn AI has an iOS app. Verve AI, Parakeet AI, Interview Sidekick and Interviews.chat work in a phone browser. CoPilot Interview has an Android companion in beta, with an iPhone version coming.

Is CoPilot Interview an official Zoom or Microsoft partner?

No. CoPilot Interview runs beside Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Meet by listening to your computer's audio. It has no official integration or partnership with any call app and is not affiliated with Microsoft Copilot or GitHub Copilot.
