For Meta interns
Meta Internship Interview Prep — AI for the Two-Problems-Per-Round Format
Free real-time AI for Meta internship interviews. Built specifically for Meta's unique two-problems-per-round coding format, behavioral rounds, and PM cases across the SWE Intern, PM Intern, and Research Intern programs.
Meta's internship programs
SWE University Intern
The flagship engineering internship. Three technical phone screens followed by a virtual onsite (additional rounds). The defining Meta format: two LeetCode-medium problems in a single 45-minute round. This is unique to Meta among FAANG and creates time pressure most candidates underestimate.
PM University Intern (Rotational Product Manager)
Product case interviews using Meta's execution and product-sense frameworks. Heavy weight on quantitative analytical rounds (drop-off diagnosis, north-star metric definition).
Research Intern
For ML and AI research-focused candidates. Publication discussion, research methodology, and one technical round. Different filtering criteria from SWE rounds.
Production Engineer Intern
Hybrid SWE + infrastructure intern role. Coding rounds plus systems-knowledge questions (Linux, networking, debugging).
The two-problems-per-round format
Meta's signature interview pacing: in a 45-minute round, you get TWO LeetCode-medium problems back-to-back, not one. This means each problem gets roughly 18-20 minutes including discussion. Three predictable failure modes:
- Over-investing in problem 1. Candidates try to optimize when O(n) gets the job done, and run out of time for problem 2 entirely.
- Mental fatigue carryover. Problem 2 is solved 30% slower than problem 1 because of context-switching cost.
- Bombing the easy follow-up. If problem 1 went well, you may rush problem 2's clarifying questions.
Our full Meta coding interview guide covers six representative problems and the patterns Meta over-indexes on (prefix sum + hashmap appears ~25% of loops, more than at Google).
How CoPilot Interview helps
During your Meta interview on Zoom or Workplace, the desktop overlay surfaces pattern-recognition prompts as you describe each problem aloud. The free Llama and Qwen models respond in 3-5 seconds, which fits Meta's tight 18-minute-per-problem pacing better than slower premium-model alternatives. For senior intern levels (E3+ track) the Standard tier ($8.99/mo) adds Claude and GPT for the harder problem-2 follow-ups.
FAQ
How many coding rounds does the Meta SWE intern interview have?
Two technical phone screens during initial rounds, plus a virtual onsite with additional rounds. Each round contains TWO LeetCode-medium problems. Pacing yourself across the two problems is the unique Meta skill to develop.
What is the Meta Top 75 list?
An informal community-maintained list of the 75 LeetCode problems Meta has asked most often. If you drill that list, you will recognize 90% of what comes up in your loop.
Can interns use AI during Meta interviews?
Meta has not formally prohibited AI assistance in interviews. Always follow recruiter-stated rules and default to disclosure when comfortable. See our manifesto.
