Is NeetCode Pro worth it? For most people preparing for coding interviews, not at the start. The Blind 75, NeetCode 150 and NeetCode 250 lists are free, every problem in them has a free video walkthrough, and none of their problems are locked behind Pro. Pro is worth its price, $119 for one year or $297 for lifetime access on neetcode.io in October 2026, if you will actually work through structured video courses, or if you want extra problems, company tags and AI hints in one place. NeetCode generally does not give refunds, so use the free material first and buy only when you know what you are missing.
Everything below comes from NeetCode's own Pro page, its FAQ and terms, and the problem data behind its practice lists, checked on October 14, 2026. Prices and plans change, so confirm on the Pro page before you pay.
NeetCode Pro price in 2026
| Plan | Price (USD) | How it bills | Effective cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| One-Year Access | $119, shown against a crossed-out $199 | Charged once; auto-renew is off by default | About $9.92 a month over 12 months |
| Lifetime | $297, shown against a crossed-out $599 | One-time payment, all future content included | Cheaper than one-year access only if you would pay for a third year |
| Monthly | Not offered on the Pro page | – | – |
The lifetime math is simple: two years of one-year access costs $238 and three costs $357, so lifetime at $297 only saves money if you will still be using NeetCode in year three. For a single job search, the one-year plan is the cheaper choice.
Policies from NeetCode's FAQ and terms worth knowing before you click buy:
- Refunds are rare. NeetCode says it generally does not offer refunds because the content is consumable, points to its free content as the way to try before you buy, and may grant a refund at its discretion in special situations.
- No auto-renew surprise. One-Year Access does not renew unless you turn auto-renew on. If you do, turning it off takes effect at the end of the period and does not trigger a refund.
- No student discount. The FAQ says NeetCode does not currently offer one.
- One person, one email. Accounts cannot be shared or transferred, and NeetCode recommends buying with a personal email rather than a school or work address you might lose.
What NeetCode Pro adds over the free tier
NeetCode's FAQ describes Pro as unlimited access to all video courses, written articles, code solutions in multiple languages, premium practice problems in its browser editor, AI debugging and hints, cloud code sync and a private Discord. Here is how that compares with what you already get free:
| Area | Free on neetcode.io | What Pro adds |
|---|---|---|
| Practice lists | Blind 75, NeetCode 150 and NeetCode 250, plus NeetCode All, an unstructured pool of problems NeetCode has solved on YouTube | Nothing in these lists: in NeetCode's own problem data, none of the 250 is marked Pro |
| Extra problems | – | 149 problems marked Pro in the practice data, and the Pro page advertises 300+ problems in its editor. Many are problems that are Premium-only on LeetCode, such as Logger Rate Limiter and Design Hit Counter |
| Video explanations | A walkthrough for every problem in the three main lists | 200+ course videos, according to the Pro page |
| Courses | A set of standalone lessons, such as Big-O Notation and 20 Must-Know System Design Concepts | 11 structured courses (see the next table) |
| Code solutions | NeetCode's public GitHub repository has solution code in folders for more than a dozen languages | Solutions on the site in Python, Java, C++, JavaScript, C#, Go, Swift and Kotlin |
| AI help | – | NeetBot chat while you solve, AI hints, and debugging with a side-by-side diff of your code and a suggested fix |
| Company tags | – | Problems filtered by company tags, covering 100+ companies |
| Other | – | Cloud sync of your code across devices and a private Discord |
The Pro problems are the detail most reviews skip. In neetcode.io's practice data, 100 problems carry a "Premium Algo 100" tag, the same name as LeetCode's Premium-only study plan, and 93 of those are Pro. If you were thinking of buying LeetCode Premium mainly to practice its locked problems, Pro covers some of that ground. It does not cover LeetCode's company frequency lists, which our LeetCode Premium guide explains.
The Pro courses, and what each one is for
The Courses page lists 11 courses with the hours and level below, about 144 hours in total. This is the main thing Pro sells, so judge it by whether you will finish the courses you need.
| Course | Listed length | Listed level | Useful for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Algorithms & Data Structures for Beginners | 25 hours | Medium | Building the foundations before NeetCode 150 |
| Advanced Algorithms | 25 hours | Hard | Algorithms beyond the beginner course |
| System Design for Beginners | 10 hours | Medium | First system design round |
| System Design Interview | 10 hours | Medium | Common design questions |
| Python for Beginners | 12 hours | Easy | Learning the language itself |
| Python for Coding Interviews | 8 hours | Easy | Switching your interview language to Python |
| Python OOP | 8 hours | Easy | Object-oriented Python |
| SQL for Beginners | 10 hours | Easy | SQL rounds and data roles |
| Full Stack Development | 20 hours | Medium | Building an intermediate app, not interview prep as such |
| Object Oriented Design Interviews | 8 hours | Easy | Low-level design rounds |
| Object Oriented Design Patterns | 8 hours | Easy | Design patterns |
Only two courses, 50 of the 144 listed hours, are about algorithm rounds. The rest cover system design, object-oriented design, Python, SQL and full-stack development, so Pro is better value the more of those you actually need.
Who NeetCode Pro is worth it for
Probably worth it if
- You are new to algorithms and learn best from a structured course rather than a playlist. The 25-hour beginner course plus the free NeetCode 250 is a complete path.
- You want DSA, system design and object-oriented design prep from one teacher in one place, and you have two months or more before interviews.
- You have finished the free lists and want more problems in the same format, including versions of problems that are locked on LeetCode.
- You use AI hints well: you ask for a nudge after a real attempt, not a full solution on minute two.
Probably not worth it if
- You already know the patterns and need reps. The NeetCode 150 and its free videos are the core of what NeetCode offers.
- Your interviews are less than three weeks away. You will not finish many course hours, and practice under time pressure matters more now.
- You mostly want company-specific question lists. LeetCode's company tags with frequency data are a different product; read our guide to LeetCode company-tagged questions first.
- Money is tight. Nothing in Pro is required to pass a coding interview, and with no general refunds, a purchase you do not use is money gone.
Free alternatives that cover most of Pro
| Pro feature | Free substitute | What you give up |
|---|---|---|
| Courses | NeetCode's YouTube walkthroughs, its free lessons, and pattern guides such as our 15 LeetCode patterns | A structured syllabus and a fixed order |
| Code in 8 languages | The neetcode-gh/leetcode repository on GitHub | Solutions next to the editor |
| Extra problems | The free NeetCode 250 and NeetCode All lists, and LeetCode's free study plans | Versions of LeetCode Premium problems |
| AI hints and debugging | Write down exactly where you are stuck, then read only the first paragraph of a solution | Speed and a code diff |
| System design course | Our free system design cheat sheet and NeetCode's free system design lesson | Depth and worked examples |
| Private Discord | LeetCode's Discuss section and study groups | A focused community |
A one-week test before you pay
- Days 1–3: Solve 10 NeetCode 150 problems using only the free videos. If you watch every video to the end and want more structure, a course is likely to help you.
- Days 4–5: Watch one free lesson, such as Big-O Notation. If you finish it and take notes, you will probably finish the courses too. If you skim it, save the money.
- Days 6–7: List the topics where you got stuck. If they are the advanced graph and DP material, Advanced Algorithms is the course you are buying. If they are communication and pacing, no course fixes that; spoken practice does.
That last point is where neither Pro nor LeetCode Premium helps much. Interviews grade how you explain your approach out loud while you code. CoPilot Interview's AI mock interview is free for 15 minutes a day: it builds questions from your résumé and a job description, lets you weight the mix toward coding and pick your language, reads each question aloud, and scores your spoken answer out of 10 with what to fix and a model answer. Coding questions never auto-submit, so you can think quietly first.
Practice the part no course can do for you
Rehearse explaining your solutions out loud with CoPilot Interview's free AI mock interview: scored answers, model answers and a report card, 15 minutes a day, no credit card.

How much does NeetCode Pro cost?
As of October 2026, neetcode.io lists One-Year Access at $119 and Lifetime at $297, shown against crossed-out prices of $199 and $599. There is no monthly plan on the Pro page. Check the Pro page for the current price before you buy.
Is NeetCode free?
Yes, the core of it is. The Blind 75, NeetCode 150 and NeetCode 250 lists are free, each problem has a free video walkthrough, and none of those problems are marked Pro. Pro adds courses, extra problems, AI hints, company tags and code solutions on the site.
Does NeetCode Pro auto-renew?
Not by default. NeetCode says One-Year Access does not auto-renew unless you turn it on, and Lifetime is a one-time payment. If you enable auto-renew and later disable it, the change applies at the end of the period and does not lead to a refund.
Can I get a refund or a student discount on NeetCode Pro?
Usually not. NeetCode says it generally does not offer refunds because the content is consumable, though it may make exceptions at its discretion, and its FAQ says there is currently no student discount.
Do I need NeetCode Pro to finish the NeetCode 150?
No. Every NeetCode 150 problem and its video walkthrough is available without Pro. In NeetCode’s own problem data, none of the Blind 75, NeetCode 150 or NeetCode 250 problems is marked Pro.
Is NeetCode Pro better than LeetCode Premium?
They sell different things. NeetCode Pro is mainly structured courses plus extra problems and AI help, while LeetCode Premium is mainly company-tagged question lists with frequency data and Premium-only problems. Buy the one that fixes your actual gap, and only when you will use it.
Is NeetCode Pro lifetime worth it?
Only if you expect to use NeetCode for more than two years. At $297, lifetime costs more than two years of One-Year Access at $119 each and less than three, so for a single job search the one-year plan is cheaper.
