LeetCode vs NeetCode is less a contest than a division of labor: LeetCode is the problem bank and judge, with 4,087 problems (787 of them Premium-only) and Premium at $35 a month or $159 a year, while NeetCode is a curated study path with free video explanations and a Pro plan at $119 for one year or $297 for lifetime access. Most candidates learn the patterns with NeetCode's free lists and videos and do the solving, re-solving and company-specific practice on LeetCode. Prices and counts are as of October 2026.
We make CoPilot Interview, a different kind of prep tool, and cover it as a third option near the end. LeetCode's prices and features below come from its subscribe page and help center, and NeetCode's from its Pro page, all read on October 20, 2026. The problem counts are our tally of LeetCode's problem list that day. For each product on its own, see our guides to whether LeetCode Premium is worth it and whether NeetCode Pro is worth it.
The verdict: which one to use
- Start with NeetCode if you're still learning the core patterns. Its lists give you an order to work in and a free video explanation for each problem, so your time goes into ideas instead of deciding what to solve next.
- Use LeetCode the whole way through for the solving itself. The free tier covers about 3,300 problems, and its LeetCode 75 and Top Interview 150 study plans need no Premium.
- Pay for LeetCode Premium for a month or two once you have an interview booked at a company with a large tagged question list.
- Pay for NeetCode Pro if you want structured video courses, including system design and object-oriented design, and you will actually finish them.
- Pay for neither if money is tight. The free tiers of both are enough to prepare for most coding rounds.
LeetCode vs NeetCode: side-by-side comparison
| LeetCode | NeetCode | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | A practice platform: problem bank, browser editor and judge | A curated roadmap: problem lists, video explanations and courses |
| Size | 4,087 problems, 787 Premium-only (October 20, 2026) | Blind 75, NeetCode 150 and NeetCode 250 lists; the Pro page advertises 300+ problems in its editor |
| Free tier | About 3,300 problems, free study plans and community solutions | The three main lists with a video walkthrough for each problem |
| Paid plan | Premium: $35 a month or $159 a year | Pro: $119 for one year or $297 lifetime |
| Month-to-month option | Yes | No |
| Renewal | Renews until you cancel | One-Year Access has auto-renew off by default |
| Refunds | Non-refundable in most cases; requests reviewed case by case | Generally none; rare exceptions at NeetCode's discretion |
| Company tags | Premium: questions by company, sortable by role, time and frequency | Pro: problems filtered by company tags for 100+ companies |
| Explanations | Premium solutions and editorials; a free community Solutions tab | Free videos for the list problems; Pro adds 200+ course videos and written guides |
| AI help | Ask Leet coding agent; Premium adds 500 extra monthly credits | Pro: NeetBot chat, AI hints and debugging with a side-by-side code diff |
| Timed practice | Premium: Interview Simulations, a timed question for a chosen company | Not listed on the Pro page |
| Editor extras | Premium: debugger, autocomplete, priority judging at peak hours | Pro: cloud sync and solutions in 8 languages |
The overlap is bigger than the table suggests. NeetCode describes the NeetCode 150 as "the Blind 75 plus 75 more problems," and those are LeetCode problems: 28 easy, 101 medium and 21 hard on NeetCode's list page. Our LeetCode Premium guide found that 7 of the 150 are Premium-only on LeetCode, and that NeetCode has practice pages for all seven outside its Pro plan. So you can finish the whole list without paying either company.
Pricing compared (as of October 2026)
LeetCode Premium
| Plan | Price | Billing | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | None | About 3,300 problems, study plans, community solutions |
| Monthly | $35/mo, shown against a crossed-out $39 | Every month | All Premium features |
| Yearly | $159 ($13.25/mo), shown against a crossed-out $24.91/mo | Once a year | Same features; LeetCode says it saves over 62% against monthly |
The subscribe page says you can cancel at any time and the subscription stays active until the end of the current period. LeetCode's refund policy article adds that you cancel from the Manage Subscription page before your renewal date and that "in most cases, LeetCode subscriptions are non-refundable," though it reviews requests case by case.
NeetCode Pro
| Plan | Price | Billing | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | None | Blind 75, NeetCode 150 and NeetCode 250 with videos |
| One-Year Access | $119, shown against a crossed-out $199 | Once; auto-renew off by default | Full access for 12 months, future content, private Discord |
| Lifetime | $297, shown against a crossed-out $599 | One-time payment | Everything, including all future content |
There is no monthly plan. NeetCode's FAQ says it generally doesn't offer refunds because the content is consumable, points to its free content as the way to try before you buy, and may grant a refund at its discretion if you email support about a special situation.
What each costs over time
Our arithmetic from the listed prices, using the cheapest plan that covers each period, before tax:
| How long you need it | LeetCode Premium | NeetCode Pro |
|---|---|---|
| 1 month | $35 | $119 (the shortest plan is one year) |
| 3 months | $105 (three monthly payments) | $119 |
| 6 months | $159 (yearly beats five or more monthly payments) | $119 |
| 1 year | $159 | $119 |
| 3 years | $477 (three yearly terms) | $297 (lifetime) |
For a short sprint before a booked interview, a month or two of LeetCode Premium is the cheaper buy. For a search that lasts most of a year, NeetCode Pro costs less. Buying both for a year comes to $278, which few people need.
What each one is better at
Where LeetCode is stronger
- Volume. Thousands of free problems by topic and difficulty, so you never run out of fresh reps on a pattern.
- Company-specific lists. Premium groups questions by company and lets you sort by role, time window and frequency. Our guide to LeetCode company-tagged questions explains how to read them without drowning in the all-time lists.
- Timed practice. Premium's Interview Simulations give you a timed question for a company you choose.
- Free study plans. LeetCode 75 and Top Interview 150 contain no Premium-only problems, per our Premium guide. See the LeetCode 75 guide for a working order.
Where NeetCode is stronger
- Order. The NeetCode 150 groups problems by pattern, starting with arrays and hashing and two pointers, so each problem builds on the last. Our NeetCode 150 roadmap covers the timing.
- Explanations. One teacher explains every list problem on video, free, in a consistent style.
- Courses. Pro adds video courses on data structures, algorithms, system design and more, plus written guides and solutions in Python, Java, C++, JavaScript, C#, Go, Swift and Kotlin.
- Less noise. A fixed list of 75, 150 or 250 problems is easier to finish than an open problem bank.
What neither one checks
Both grade whether your code passes. Neither grades how you explain your approach out loud, which is a large part of what an interviewer scores: stating assumptions, talking through trade-offs and walking a test case. LeetCode's simulations are timed but silent, and NeetCode's videos show someone else explaining. You still need spoken practice.
Who each one fits
LeetCode fits you if you already know the patterns and need reps, you have an interview booked at a large company with many tagged questions, or you want to pay month to month for a short sprint. It fits less well if you're starting from scratch, because an open bank of about 4,000 problems gives you no order.
NeetCode fits you if you're new to algorithms or returning after years away, you want one person's explanations in a fixed order, or you also need system design and object-oriented design prep over several months. It fits less well if your interview is two weeks away, since a course you won't finish is money you won't get back.
How to use both together
- Pick a list: NeetCode 150 if you have six weeks or more, Blind 75 or LeetCode 75 if you have less. Our comparison of Blind 75, NeetCode 150 and LeetCode 75 helps you choose.
- Give each problem a real 20 to 25 minute attempt before you watch NeetCode's video.
- Put every miss on a re-solve list and solve it again on LeetCode two and five days later.
- In the last two to four weeks, if you have a target company, consider one month of LeetCode Premium and work its recent company list.
- Twice a week, solve a problem while explaining it out loud, as you would to an interviewer.

A third option for the part both skip: CoPilot Interview
CoPilot Interview is a desktop app for Windows 10+ and macOS 12+, and it is not affiliated with Microsoft Copilot or GitHub Copilot. Its Mock Interview mode builds an interview from your résumé and a job description. You choose the level, 3, 5 or 8 questions, the mix of behavioral, technical, system design and coding questions, and your coding language. It reads each question aloud, scores your spoken answer out of 10 with what to fix and a model answer, and ends with a report card. Coding questions never auto-submit, so you can think in silence. If you'd rather not install anything, the browser AI mock interview has 113 real questions across 9 tracks.
| Tool | What it trains | Free option | Paid from | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| CoPilot Interview | Explaining your answers out loud, scored out of 10 | 15 minutes every day, all four modes, no card or signup | $14.99/mo Standard (sale; regular $19.99); hour packs from $5.99 | Best choice for spoken mock interviews built from your résumé and the job description |
| LeetCode | Solving problems against a judge | About 3,300 free problems | Premium $35/mo or $159/yr | Volume and company-tagged practice |
| NeetCode | Learning patterns in order | Blind 75, NeetCode 150, NeetCode 250 with videos | Pro $119 for one year or $297 lifetime | Structured explanations and courses |
Disclosure: we make CoPilot Interview.
The free coding interview cheat sheet and Big-O complexity visualizer are useful companions to either list when you need to state a complexity out loud.
Practice explaining your solutions out loud
CoPilot Interview's free AI mock interview reads each question aloud and scores your spoken answer out of 10 with what to fix and a model answer. 15 minutes every day, no credit card.

Is NeetCode better than LeetCode?
Neither is better; they do different jobs. NeetCode is a curated study path with free video explanations, and LeetCode is the problem bank and judge with about 4,087 problems as of October 2026. Most candidates learn patterns with NeetCode and practice on LeetCode.
Is NeetCode free?
The core of it is. The Blind 75, NeetCode 150 and NeetCode 250 lists and their video walkthroughs are free. NeetCode Pro costs $119 for one year or $297 for lifetime access as of October 2026 and adds courses, more problems, company tags and AI hints.
How much is LeetCode Premium in 2026?
As of October 2026, LeetCode Premium is $35 a month billed monthly or $159 a year, about $13.25 a month. You can cancel any time and keep access until the period ends, but LeetCode says subscriptions are non-refundable in most cases.
Are NeetCode problems the same as LeetCode problems?
Largely, yes. NeetCode describes the NeetCode 150 as the Blind 75 plus 75 more problems, drawn from LeetCode. Seven of them are Premium-only on LeetCode, but NeetCode has free practice pages for all seven.
Should I buy LeetCode Premium or NeetCode Pro?
Buy a month of LeetCode Premium if you have an interview booked within a few weeks at a company with a large tagged question list. Buy NeetCode Pro if you are starting out, want structured courses and have several months. Neither is required to pass a coding interview.
Can I use LeetCode and NeetCode together?
Yes, and most people do. Work a NeetCode list in order, attempt each problem for 20 to 25 minutes before watching the video, then re-solve your misses on LeetCode two and five days later.
Does LeetCode or NeetCode help me explain answers out loud?
Not directly. Both check whether your code passes, not how you explain it. CoPilot Interview, which we make, runs spoken mock interviews and scores each answer out of 10, free for 15 minutes every day.
