The short answer
NeetCode publishes three practice lists: the Blind 75, the NeetCode 150 and the NeetCode 250. There is no official list called the NeetCode 75.
The name took hold because NeetCode produced the video walkthroughs that made the Blind 75 usable for most people. The list came from a 2020 post on Blind, the anonymous professional network, written by an engineer who grouped 75 problems by pattern. NeetCode organized it, hosted it and recorded a solution video for each problem. People then started calling the combination "NeetCode 75", and the name stuck even though NeetCode never used it.
What NeetCode actually publishes
- Blind 75 — the original community list of 75 problems grouped by pattern, with NeetCode's video solutions. The fastest route to broad pattern coverage.
- NeetCode 150 — the 75 extended to 150, adding depth in the topics where 75 problems leave gaps, and sequenced deliberately to build intuition.
- NeetCode 250 — a longer set for people who want more repetition per pattern or are preparing over several months.
The four lists people confuse
Once you know "NeetCode 75" means Blind 75, the real question is which of the genuinely different lists to spend your weeks on. These are the four that come up:
| List | Problems | Who maintains it | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Blind 75 ("NeetCode 75") | 75 | Community list from a 2020 Blind post; NeetCode hosts the videos | Broad pattern coverage in the least time |
| LeetCode 75 | 75 | LeetCode | A gentler official on-ramp, topic by topic |
| NeetCode 150 | 150 | NeetCode | Depth plus a deliberate teaching order |
| Top Interview 150 | 150 | LeetCode | Breadth before an onsite, worked in any order |
Which one to actually do
- Under three weeks: Blind 75. At three to five problems a day it is the only list that finishes, and it touches every major pattern at least once.
- Four to ten weeks, and patterns are new to you: NeetCode 150. The ordering is the product here, not just the problem count.
- You already know the patterns and want breadth: Top Interview 150, worked in whatever order suits your weak spots.
- You are early and want a gentle start: LeetCode 75, then move up rather than stalling on hard problems in week one.
Whichever you pick, the mistake that costs people the most is switching lists halfway. Finishing one list badly beats starting three of them well.
How to work the Blind 75 properly
Solve by pattern rather than in list order, and give each problem a hard twenty-five minutes before opening a solution. Then re-solve it from scratch a week later, because recognising a solution is not the same as being able to produce one under pressure. If a pattern still feels shaky after its group, do two or three extra problems from the NeetCode 150 in that same pattern instead of moving on.
Our 15 LeetCode patterns guide covers the patterns themselves, and the Blind 75 guide has the full list with notes on which problems earn the most.
Where CoPilot Interview fits
Disclosure: we build an interview assistant, so treat this as a disclosed pitch. Lists prepare you; they do not help at 10am on the day when an interviewer asks something you did not rehearse. CoPilot Interview is a native Windows and macOS app that puts suggested answers on your own screen in about four seconds, covering coding, system design and behavioral rounds, with a permanent free tier that needs no credit card.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a NeetCode 75 list?
No. NeetCode publishes the Blind 75, the NeetCode 150 and the NeetCode 250. There is no official list called the NeetCode 75. The name caught on because NeetCode recorded the video solutions for the Blind 75, so people began referring to that pairing as the NeetCode 75.
What is the difference between NeetCode 75 and NeetCode 150?
Since the NeetCode 75 is really the Blind 75, the comparison is Blind 75 versus NeetCode 150. The Blind 75 gives broad pattern coverage in 75 problems and finishes in roughly two to three weeks at a steady pace. The NeetCode 150 adds depth in topics where 75 problems leave gaps and is sequenced to build intuition, taking most people six to ten weeks.
Is the Blind 75 still worth doing in 2026?
Yes, if your time is short. It remains the most efficient way to touch every major pattern once, which is what most interview loops test. Its weakness is thin coverage in a few areas, so if you have more than a month, the NeetCode 150 is the better use of the extra weeks.
Is NeetCode free?
The problem lists and the video solutions are freely accessible, and NeetCode also sells a paid tier with courses and extras. The lists themselves link to problems on LeetCode, where some problems require a LeetCode subscription.
Which list do companies actually expect?
None of them. Companies do not test against a list; they test patterns like two pointers, sliding window, graphs and dynamic programming. The lists are just curated routes through those patterns, which is why finishing one properly beats sampling several.
How many problems a day should I do?
Three to five is the rate most people sustain alongside a job, and it is the rate behind the usual estimates: about two to three weeks for a 75-problem list and six to ten weeks for a 150-problem list. Doing ten a day for four days and then stopping is worse than three a day for a month.
