AceRound AI Alternatives: 7 AI Interview Copilots Compared

AceRound's credits, passes and limits from its own site, then seven alternatives compared on pricing model, free allowance, platforms and practice, October 2026.

The best AceRound AI alternative for most candidates is CoPilot Interview, a desktop AI interview copilot and AI interview assistant for Windows 10+ and macOS 12+ that gives you 15 free minutes every day instead of a one-time allowance, with AI mock interviews that score each spoken answer out of 10. If you like AceRound's pay-once credits, Parakeet AI and Interviews Chat also sell time by the hour or by the minute, so the best of the AceRound AI alternatives depends on how you want to pay.

AceRound AI is a real, active product. This page sets out what it offers and costs, taken from aceround.app as of October 2026, then compares seven alternatives. Our head-to-head CoPilot Interview vs AceRound AI goes deeper on the two products, and our report on the state of AI interview assistants in 2026 covers the wider market.

What is AceRound AI, and what does it cost?

AceRound AI calls itself a real-time interview copilot; its footer says it is operated by SUNNYISH LLC of Albuquerque, New Mexico. As of October 2026, its site describes a live copilot that transcribes the interviewer and returns talking points and answers, AI mock interviews with industry-specific AI interviewers "scored on tone, logic and keyword coverage," a phone view you can use as a second device, and support for English, Japanese, French, German, Portuguese, Korean and more, including cross-language interviews. The desktop app needs Windows 10 version 2004 or later, or macOS 13 or later.

AceRound sells one-time purchases rather than subscriptions:

Monthly Pass$39.90, one-time payment30 daysUnlimitedUnlimited
Season Pass$69.90, one-time payment90 daysUnlimitedUnlimited

Its refund policy, last updated July 18, 2026, gives a full refund within 7 days of purchase if you haven't used any minutes or pass time, may give a partial refund for the unused portion, and excludes purchases more than 180 days old. Credit where it's due: passes never renew on their own, credits never expire, and the language list is long.

Much of AceRound's homepage also markets live help in timed online assessments. We don't recommend live help in any assessment. Take the assessment yourself and follow the employer's rules — use CoPilot Interview to practice beforehand.

The 7 best AceRound AI alternatives, reviewed

1. CoPilot Interview: best for daily practice and older Macs

CoPilot Interview's Mock Interview builds questions from your résumé and the job description. You choose the level, 3, 5 or 8 questions and the mix of behavioral, technical, system design and coding; each question is read aloud, and each spoken answer is scored out of 10 with what worked, what to fix and a model answer, followed by a report card. Coding questions never auto-submit. In live use, Candidate Mode shows live captions of the interviewer's question and a structured answer in about 2 seconds after the question ends, in its own window beside Zoom, Microsoft Teams or Google Meet. Follow the rules of the employer or platform you're interviewing with — many people use it only to practice, which works on the free plan.

Why it's our Best choice: free time every day rather than once, macOS 12 support, Interviewer Mode and the Resume Builder in the same app, and session files that stay in your Documents folder; audio is streamed in short encrypted segments to a speech-to-text model and nothing is kept on our servers beyond the request. Against AceRound's $39.90 Monthly Pass, Pro costs $29.99 a month for unlimited 70-minute sessions. Honest limits: paid plans are subscriptions that renew until you cancel, while AceRound's passes don't renew; the full app is desktop only, with an Android companion in beta; free sessions stop at 15 minutes; and there is no human coach. See our desktop AI interview assistant with free daily practice.

2. Parakeet AI: closest to AceRound's pay-per-hour model

Parakeet AI sells 1-hour credits, with bundles bringing the cost down to $11.80 an hour, and runs in a desktop app, desktop Chrome or a phone browser. Strengths: pay only for the interviews you have, and a free first mock interview. Limits: free sessions stop at 10 minutes, and month-to-month unlimited costs $149.90. See CoPilot Interview vs Parakeet AI.

3. Interviews Chat: lowest entry price for metered use

Interviews Chat charges by the minute: 30 free credits with no card, then $19 a month for 1,000 credits, where one credit is one minute. The web version needs no install, and there is an optional Chrome extension and a desktop app. Strengths: a low price to start. Limits: the entry plan is metered, so long practice sessions use credits quickly.

4. LockedIn AI: best platform coverage

LockedIn AI runs on Windows, macOS, the web, a Chrome extension, iOS and Android, offers coding help and mock interviews, and sells credits that don't expire. Strengths: the widest set of devices in this list. Limits: free sessions stop at 5 minutes, monthly and quarterly plans aren't refundable once started, and it rotates offers often, so check the price on the day you buy.

5. Final Round AI: broadest practice suite

Final Round AI combines live help with eight practice-interview scenarios and automatic debriefs. Strengths: the most complete paid practice suite. Limits: you can't try live help without paying, and month-to-month Pro costs $150.

6. Verve AI: closest match to AceRound's language range

Verve AI lists 55+ languages on its site, with a live copilot, mock interviews and a résumé builder on the web, Windows, macOS and iPhone. Strengths: language coverage and an iPhone app. Limits: the free plan allows 3 short copilot sessions a month.

7. Sensei AI: best for preparing your stories

Sensei AI is a web app with a live copilot, an AI résumé builder and a story editor on every plan. Strengths: nothing to install, and tools for the stories behind your answers. Limits: $89 a month unless you commit to a year at $24 a month.

Is an AI interview copilot cheaper on credits, passes or a subscription?

It depends on how many hours you will really use. By our arithmetic from AceRound's prices, Standard Credits work out to about $7.48 an hour and Max Credits to about $5.99 an hour, and they never expire. A Monthly Pass at $39.90 pays off only if you use it heavily within 30 days. Parakeet AI's bundles fall to $11.80 an hour. A subscription such as CoPilot Interview Standard at $14.99 a month gives 60-minute sessions and up to 100 minutes a day, and Pro at $29.99 removes the daily limit, so it suits a busy month of interviews; cancel from the account page when the search ends.

Before you pay anyone, count two things: the interviews you have left and the hours of practice you will actually do. If most of your time is practice, a free daily plan may be all you need. Our guide to choosing an AI interview copilot has a full checklist, and the AI interview copilot explainer covers how these tools work. Comparing credit-based tools specifically? Practice it before you buy anything

  1. Pick the job description for your next interview.
  2. Run a 5-question Mock Interview in the desktop app, or the free browser AI mock interview if you'd rather not install anything.
  3. Answer out loud, then redo your lowest-scoring answer in your own words.
  4. Run the same questions with AceRound's free minutes or any tool above and compare the feedback.
  5. Only then decide whether you need paid time, and how much.
