Best AI Interview Assistant Reviews: Public Ratings for 10 Tools, Compared

Scores and review counts from Trustpilot, the App Store, the Chrome Web Store and Product Hunt, checked October 22, 2026, and how much weight each deserves.

If you're looking for best AI interview assistant reviews, the public ratings are thinner than vendor marketing suggests. As of October 22, 2026, only Parakeet AI (476 reviews), Final Round AI (280) and LockedIn AI (120) had more than 100 reviews on Trustpilot, the largest app-store count among the 10 tools we checked was Cluely's 568 App Store ratings, and several tools had fewer than 10 reviews on any platform we looked at.

We read each platform's own product page on October 22, 2026: Trustpilot, Apple's US App Store, the Chrome Web Store and Product Hunt. G2 pages didn't load for us, so G2 is left out rather than copied from another site. We make CoPilot Interview, and our own numbers are reported the same way as everyone else's, which in our case means mostly empty cells. For the rest of the category picture, see the 2026 report on AI interview assistants.

AI interview assistant ratings by platform

Each cell shows the platform's score out of 5 and its review or rating count. A dash means we found no listing on the vendor's site or in that platform's search. Disclosure: we make CoPilot Interview; its row comes first by our house rule, not because of its numbers.

Also checked, with nothing to report: we found no Trustpilot profile for Interview Coder or Interviews Chat, and LockedIn AI's Google Play app showed no rating yet (5K+ downloads). Our own SaaSHub listing shows 0 reviews. Cluely's App Store app is listed as "Cluely: AI Notetaker", a meeting app, so its score reflects more than interview use.

Why are the numbers so different between platforms?

The same product can look excellent in one place and poor in another because each platform counts differently and attracts different people.

How should you weigh low review counts and old reviews?

  1. Under 20 reviews, read them instead of scoring them. One or two people can move the number a full star.
  2. Prefer the last 6 to 12 months. These products change monthly, so a 2024 complaint about a missing feature may no longer apply, and a 2024 rave may describe an older version.
  3. Compare like with like. A 4.7 for a meeting-notes phone app and a 2.8 for a desktop interview tool aren't measuring the same thing.
  4. Check who asked for the reviews. Trustpilot shows whether a company invites customers to review. Without invitations, the reviewers are people who found the page on their own, which in our reading of these profiles meant many billing complaints.
  5. Look for vendor replies. How a company answers billing complaints tells you how it will treat yours.

What do reviewers praise and complain about?

We read the visible reviews on the three Trustpilot profiles large enough to show patterns (Final Round AI, Parakeet AI and Cluely). In our words, the same themes repeat:

The billing theme is the useful one. Most of those complaints trace back to terms that were on the vendor's site before purchase, which is why we compared refund policies across 12 tools side by side. For how to judge reviews, Reddit threads and "best of" lists in general, read how to tell which reviews to trust.

Our pick, kept apart from the data

Best choice: CoPilot Interview. We can't point you to a public rating for it: as of October 2026 it has no Trustpilot profile, no Product Hunt listing we could find and 0 reviews on SaaSHub, and its customer stories page shows reviews we collected ourselves, which is marketing, not an independent score. What you can check instead is the product: a free plan with 15 minutes a day, no account or card, all four modes, and a 14-day money-back guarantee on your first payment while you've used under 30 minutes of live session time. Its honest limits are a desktop-only full app (Windows and macOS), an Android companion still in beta, no human coach, and 15 free minutes a day. Disclosure: we make CoPilot Interview.

Tip: When ratings are thin, your own 15-minute test beats any score. Run the same three questions through each tool you're considering and compare the answers side by side.

Practice it: build your own rating

A rating tells you how other people felt; a practice round tells you how a tool works for you. Run a timed mock in the browser AI mock interview, then try Mock Interview in our AI interview assistant for Windows and Mac, which scores each spoken answer out of 10 with what to fix and a model answer. Note the answer speed, whether the feedback is specific, and whether the questions fit your role. If you later use any assistant during a real interview, follow the rules of the employer or platform you're interviewing with — many people use it only to practice, which works on the free plan.

Rate it yourself in 15 minutes

CoPilot Interview's free plan gives you 15 minutes every day with no account and no card, including Mock Interview with scored answers.

FAQ

What is the best-rated AI interview assistant?

It depends on the platform. As of October 22, 2026, Parakeet AI had the highest Trustpilot score among tools with over 100 reviews (4.6 from 476), Hedy had 4.9 from 194 App Store ratings, and Final Round AI had 4.9 from 72 Product Hunt reviews but 2.8 from 280 Trustpilot reviews. Scores on different platforms measure different things.

Does CoPilot Interview have reviews on Trustpilot or G2?

Not that we could verify. As of October 2026 we found no Trustpilot profile, no Product Hunt listing and 0 reviews on SaaSHub, and G2 pages did not load for us. Our testimonials page shows reviews we collected ourselves, which are not an independent rating. We make CoPilot Interview.

Why does a tool with one Trustpilot review show about 3.4 stars?

Trustpilot says every TrustScore includes 7 neutral 3.5-star reviews in its weighted average, plus extra weight for recent reviews. With only one or two real reviews, the score stays close to 3.5 whatever those reviews say.

Why does LockedIn AI show no Trustpilot score?

When we checked on October 22, 2026, Trustpilot's page for lockedinai.com said the company's rating is unavailable due to a breach of Trustpilot's guidelines. The page still listed 120 reviews. Trustpilot's notice is the only detail we can report; it does not say more on that page.

Are app store ratings reliable for AI interview tools?

They rate the phone app, which may do less than the desktop product, and Apple lets developers reset an app's overview rating with a new version while written reviews stay visible. Read recent written reviews rather than relying on the star average.

How many reviews should a tool have before I trust its rating?

There is no fixed number, but under about 20 reviews one or two people can move a score by a full star. Below that, read the reviews themselves, check their dates, and run your own free test.
