Yes, you can use a free AI interview assistant with no signup. CoPilot Interview is a desktop app for Windows 10+ and macOS 12+: you download a zip, unzip it and run the app. There is no email form, no password and no credit card before your first session. The free plan gives you 15 free minutes every day, in sessions up to 15 minutes, with all four modes, including Mock Interview and the Resume Builder.
"No signup" removes the account step, not the limits. You still get 15 minutes a day, the app still needs an internet connection to transcribe and answer, and it is a real install on your computer rather than a web page. This guide covers exactly what you get without an account, the short path from download to first answer, how this compares with tools that need a login, and the few cases where you would create an account.
A quick naming note: CoPilot Interview is made by NeuraSense AI LLC and is not affiliated with Microsoft, Microsoft Copilot or GitHub Copilot.
What "no signup" means on the free plan
People use "no signup" loosely, so here is the precise version.
What you skip
- No email address or password before you can start.
- No credit card. The free plan is $0 forever, so there is nothing to bill and nothing to cancel.
- No trial clock. The free plan is not a trial. It doesn't expire after a set number of days, and you get a fresh 15 minutes every day.
What stays the same
- The daily limit. 15 free minutes a day, in sessions up to 15 minutes. That is up to about 7.5 hours a month, but no single free session covers a full one-hour round.
- The install. It runs as its own desktop window, not as a browser extension, so you need a computer where you are allowed to run downloaded apps.
- The connection. Transcription and answers happen through online AI models, so "no account" doesn't mean "offline." The privacy section below explains what is sent.
From download to your first answer
The whole path takes a few minutes and never asks who you are:
- Check your computer. You need Windows 10 or later, or macOS 12 or later. If you want to compare hardware needs across tools, see our guide to system requirements for AI interview assistants.
- Download the zip. On Windows the file is CoPilot_Interview_Setup.zip; on a Mac it is CoPilot Interview.zip.
- Unzip it and run the app. Answer your operating system's permission prompts so the app can hear audio. Our step-by-step guides for setting up on Windows and setting up on a Mac walk through every prompt and the common fixes.
- Pick a mode and start a session. The free plan uses the fast free models, so there is no model choice to make yet.
Because the app listens to your computer's audio output, it works alongside any video or call app that plays sound through your computer. The named list on our site is Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, CoderPad, HackerRank, CodeSignal, Amazon Chime and HireVue.
What the free AI interview assistant includes with no signup
Everything on the free plan works from the first launch. Here is what that covers, and where paid plans differ. Disclosure: we make CoPilot Interview.
| Feature | Free, no signup | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Candidate Mode | Included | Live captions of the question, then a structured answer in about 2 seconds |
| Mock Interview | Included | Questions from your résumé and a job description, read aloud; each spoken answer scored out of 10 with what to fix and a model answer, then a report card |
| Interviewer Mode | Included | For hiring managers on the other side of the table |
| Resume Builder | Included | A tailored résumé from a job URL plus your résumé, and a referral-message generator |
| AI models | Fast free models | Pro adds ChatGPT and Gemini models; Pro+ adds Claude |
| Dual AI Mode | Not included | Two models side by side, on paid plans from Standard |
| Session length | Up to 15 minutes, 15 minutes a day | 60 minutes on Standard; 70 on Pro and Pro+ |
The free tier is the same free AI interview assistant paid users run, with shorter sessions and the free models. Full plan details are on the pricing page.
When you would create an account
On the free plan, you don't need one. An account becomes relevant when money is involved, because a paid plan has to be tied to a person:
- Managing a subscription. Paid plans can be cancelled anytime from your account page, and you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
- Asking for a refund. The 14-day money-back guarantee covers the first payment of a new subscription if you have used under 30 minutes of live session time. You request it by email from the address on your account.
- Checking your usage. Your account dashboard shows your live session time, so you can see where you stand against that 30-minute condition. The full terms are in the refund policy.
If you never pay, none of this applies. The free plan keeps working at $0 for as long as you use it.
How no-signup compares with tools that need an account
Tools that ask for an account before your first session usually do so for practical reasons. Three setups are common in this category:
- Browser-based tools. The product usually lives in a web app, so you sign in to use it and your usage is tracked against that login. You skip the install but not the signup.
- Credit-based free allowances. A balance of free credits or minutes has to be stored somewhere, which usually means an account. As of October 2026, LockedIn AI says its free plan needs no card and is credit-based, and Interviews Chat gives 30 free credits with no card. "No card" and "no signup" are different promises, so read which one a tool is making.
- Bring-your-own-key open source. Natively AI is free, open-source software, but you supply an API key from an AI provider (which means an account with that provider, and paying it) or run local models. Our guide to open source AI interview assistants covers that trade-off.
When a tool advertises "no signup," four quick checks tell you whether it holds up:
- Does the first launch show a login or email screen before any session can start?
- Is a card requested anywhere before you get an answer?
- Does the free allowance reset (daily, monthly), or is it a one-time amount that runs out?
- Does the free tier include live answers, or only preparation tools?
For the card, trial-conversion and refund side of free offers, see our six checks before an AI interview assistant free trial. To weigh every tool's free tier together, compare AI interview assistants in our 15-tool table.
Privacy when you skip the account
Not creating an account means you don't hand over an email or payment details to start. It doesn't mean nothing leaves your computer, because transcription and answers use online models. Here is what happens, from our site FAQ:
- Your session files stay on your computer, in your own Documents folder.
- Audio is streamed in short encrypted segments through our proxy to a speech-to-text model.
- The question text goes to the AI model you chose, which writes the answer.
- Nothing is kept on our servers beyond the request.
Details are on our security page and in the privacy policy. For a deeper walk-through of what any assistant does with your data, read is an AI interview assistant safe.
Your first 15 minutes, with no account
A first free session goes furthest if you treat it as a setup check plus a short rehearsal:
- Minutes 0 to 3: audio check. Play a recorded interview question through your speakers or headphones, or ask a friend to say one on a quick call, and confirm the live caption matches what was said.
- Minutes 3 to 13: Mock Interview. Add your résumé and the job description for a role you want, then answer two or three questions out loud. Read the score, the fix and the model answer after each one.
- Minutes 13 to 15: write down one fix. Pick the single change you will make tomorrow, such as leading with the result or stating complexity before coding.
Tomorrow's 15 minutes start fresh. Before you rely on the app for anything that matters, check two more things:
- The computer you will use. A work laptop may block downloaded apps; use a computer you control. If you can't install anything right now, the in-browser demo lets you practice one answer and see how it is graded, with no signup.
- The rules of the interview. Follow the rules of the employer or assessment you're in — many people use it only to practice, which works on the free plan.
If you later want live help on a call, the real-time interview assistant page explains how captions and answers appear during a round.

Is there a free AI interview assistant with no signup?
Yes. CoPilot Interview's free plan needs no signup and no credit card. Download the zip for Windows 10+ or macOS 12+, unzip it and run the app to get 15 free minutes every day, in sessions up to 15 minutes, with all four modes.
Do I need an email address to use the free plan?
No. You can start without entering an email address, a password or a card. An account only matters if you buy a paid plan, because subscriptions, cancellations and refund requests are tied to the email on your account.
Is the free plan a trial?
No. The free plan is $0 forever and does not expire. You get 15 free minutes every day, so there is no end date and nothing that turns into a paid plan unless you choose one.
What do I lose by not paying?
Session length and model choice. Free sessions run up to 15 minutes with fast free models. Standard allows 60-minute sessions and adds Dual AI Mode, Pro adds ChatGPT and Gemini models with 70-minute sessions, and Pro+ adds Claude.
Does no signup mean my data stays on my computer?
Partly. Session files stay in your own Documents folder, but audio is streamed in short encrypted segments through our proxy to a speech-to-text model and the question text goes to the AI model you chose. Nothing is kept on our servers beyond the request.
Can I use it on my phone without signing up?
On Android 10 or newer, the phone companion (beta) is an APK of about 8 MB from copilotinterview.com, not on Google Play yet, so your phone asks once to allow installs from your browser. The iPhone version is coming soon.
Is CoPilot Interview part of Microsoft Copilot?
No. CoPilot Interview is made by NeuraSense AI LLC and is not affiliated with Microsoft, Microsoft Copilot or GitHub Copilot.
